  1. We're getting married in Vegas January 19, 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel chapel. They have a nice package for around 1,000 and the chapel and hotel are really beautiful. We are on a budget too but are going with a bigger package because of the extra pictures and stuff...good luck
  2. Oh my goodness! You have thought of everything. I feel so behind. OUr wedding isn't until November of 2008. But thank you for all of the wonderful ideas! I will have to use them!

Thanks guys! Ok so here is my dilema and where I need your help...Isla Mujeres or Cozumel?? The boyfriend wants Cozumel but I've been leaning towards Isla.. I've never been to either, he's been to Cozumel. I don't want to make the wrong decision. Give your feedback or post your "vote"! Thanks girlies!!

This is the "local" way to go... they have this little boats for 8 people approx.. they will take you to snorkel AND they will also take you to a beach, where they will cook the most delicious grill fish ever!... so yummi...., this "tour" will take approx 3-4 hours, and depending on the time of the year it will cost you 20-25 bucks per person... 2.FISHING! (If you like to do this... I will dig in my contact information to find the cel phone from a guy that will take you to fish... AND to snorkel in another awesome reef) 3.-RIDE THE ISLAND - The island is tiny, and it's fun to drive around, you can rent from a bicycle, a scooter or a golf cart..., the South of the island has at the very end a "clif" area, a must place to go and take some photos ..., they have a pathway to walk, it's very pretty... 4.- FOOD- Casa OZ... Best restaurant on the island..."Must to visit".... is on the south side... I'm sure any one at the island can give you directions on how to get there. And, downtown is full of little restaurants to find all kinds of food.. mexican, seafood, italian.. even arabian.. The island is a place to enjoy the ocean and relax... there's not much "party" going on at night... in downtown there are some bars, but I'm not very familiar with that part... Hope this helps!!! Soltamargo! Sorry, for some reason I just now saw this!!! Thank you for all the info. Did you say that you live there? I'd love to hear more about your prices for photographing weddings. My boyfriend really wants to wedding in Cozumel...and I'm still playing with that idea. Having never been to Isla, I am nervous to commit to having it there and have him say "i told you so"..so it's good to get information from someone who's been there. It helps a lot. So why are you unable to have your wedding there? Jordan

Starfish Kate, you're right, I don't have a ring yet! We are trying to save money, but trust me, I will get my ring! We have already started doing things a bit backwards....we have a 6 month old son ....

Royfa, where are you getting married exactly? Thanks! Jordan
  7. Thank you Jen! You'll have to let me know how it all turns out. How far ahead did you pay your deposit? We are thinking of waiting til January just to make sure that is what we want to do. And the wedding will probably be in November. Casa Mimosa's looks really nice. It will be fun to have all of your group together. Our wedding will probably be a bit bigger, about 20-30 people most likely. But there are other places you can rent as well I think and I really like that idea. I'm supposed to have a phone consultation with Tiffany tonight. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm mostly concerned about reserving the spot. I am not ready to do that yet and hope she will work with me in the mean time. Oh my concern about getting things over from Cancun has to do with our own personal items. I know we'll have a lot with wedding dress, suit plus all the stuff that a baby comes with (we have a 6 month old). I just worry it will be a pain to land and then have to take a boat to get there, but I'm thinking it will be worth it! Also, I know what you mean, there aren't as many posts about Isla as there are about some other locations. I was starting to worry because no one seemed to be into Isla either! Talk to you soon, Jordan
  8. JenVH, I just saw your posting that you have decided to go with Isla and are using Sunhorse. How is that going? Are you going to do a "site visit" to check it out first? When is your wedding going to be and what is the house that you're renting? Any info you can share would be great! Thanks
  9. I'm also considering getting married in Isla next Fall. SoltaMargo, any more insite you can offer would be great! Is it a good place for all ages as far as activities go? Do you think it would be a good idea to take the ferry to Cancun for a day or two? Something someone said really stuck out to me...the fact that it could be hard transporting things from Cancun to Isla? What do you think? Also, JenVH, have you decided to have your wedding there? Anything anyone can share would be great. We also were thinking of Cozumel. Thanks! Jordan

Hi everyone! My name is Jordan. My boyfriend and I are planning a wedding for next Fall in Mexico. Originally we were looking at September, but that is hurrican season. So we are now looking at November 2008. We were thinking Cozumel but after looking around really like Isle Mujeres. I am looking to meet people on this site that can offer us some good insite and to offer mine if I can. Thanks!
