  1. Hi Sarah! I'll be down in Puerto Vallarta shooting a wedding just a few days before yours! I totally agree with Kathy, if you need some last minute planning done, Kristin from Dazzling Details is it! It's coming up quick, have fun & best wishes!!!
  2. You're married, YAY!!! We wanna see pics! Ok, actually, i want to hear your input on the honeymoon spot, i am looking into that AMAZING location for our ceremony next Feb! I'd love to talk with you more about the details as we will hopefully book our scouting trip next week for this Jan, so excited!!! Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  3. I don't think sand and salt water wouldn't hurt your dress, but make sure you have a few days to let it dry in the sun since if you're not getting it washed/dried/preserved there! HAVE FUN!!!

  7. Definately do what you want to do, don't let friends/family make you feel bad or try and tell you what to do, it's your day! Break it down for them, $100 a month, that's only $25 a week, ANYONE can do that! Have so much fun planning!!!

The rooms, tubs, showers, pool, hot tub, beach, cafes in town and everythign about it is truly amazing. My FI and I are planning to cut our honeymoon in the South Pacific early and come back and stay at the Montage for a couple of nights. I promise it is totally worth every penny to go there. YAY! This resort is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Every time a family/friend comes out to visit me in CA, i take them there and they are speechless at the beautiful cliffs and beach. You guys will have so much fun!
  9. RE: NJ BRIDE - WOW, coming up quick, that place looks AMAZING! HAve so much fun!
  10. are you able to get the 2nd pair in ivory to match your dress, silver/ivory will match better than a white, both are SUPER cute. You can always try them on and return the one less comfortable!? That's super important on your wedding day!
  11. Check out all OC photogs (& even LA), most don't charge for travel to SanDeigo. Most with great experience and a unique eye start at $3000+, photogs who have done this for more than 2 years and are well known begin at $5000+. You can expect to spend around 5-8000 for 8 hours of coverage. Here's a few recommendations whom i either worked with or am a fan of their work: Melissa McClure Photography - San Diego Wedding and Portrait Photography Orange County Wedding Photography, Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Greg Bumatay, Southern California Wedding Photography Los Angeles, Orange County, Southern California Wedding Photographer and Wedding Photography - Heavenly Portraits San Diego Wedding Photographer - En Pointe Photography The first two I have personally shot a wedding with and the second two are just great & I really like their personalities and style. Check em out, hope this helps!
  12. You don't have to have a special meaning to the pics, it's usually just focused on the two of you and capturing YOU, not so much the scene. Don't stress! If it works out that your photographer is in Mexico the same time you are or you are able to fly them there for a day or two, then totally, that would be amazing. BUT you can find this whole rock/water thing in Mackinac too if that's more convenient for you two. The Mexican ruins are a total unique feel (find out permit/restrictions) and if that's what you're looking for, the photographer has a ton of artsy scenery to work with there and in Chicago & may have more of a chance creating a piece of art from it rather than just a portrait. Hope this helps - Best of luck!
  13. awww bummer! I unfortunately have heard this story over and over of brides hiring friends/family members to take pics and them not turning out, i'm so sorry this had to happen to you ok, so i definitely agree with most people on here, get all dolled up! I know it's a hassle and it's not YOUR day, BUT if you still have your dress, fit in it, you'll never regret it. I have had a few brides call me up and tell me this story and though it's not their venue & the actual wedding day you can get beautiful shots to fill the album. Ask your florist or a local to but a bouquet & boutonniere together or mix it up and let your hair down, add a birdcage veil or make it super edgy and fun, something you may have wanted, but wanted to stay more conservative on the day? It's totally up to you, but i say go for it! Best of luck!
  14. We are definitely planning on this. Our family is from Michigan and all can't afford to fly out of state, but i defiantly want a celebration and plan a get-together with them. Within 6 months after my date, i plan on a "reception" back home with the video/photo montage, then the "grand entrance" and everything as if it was my wedding day reception so guests can have fun and feel as if they didn't miss out. Good luck & have fun!
  15. WOOHOO! Congrats! My tips: HAVE FUN with it & don't stress over the little things!
  16. maybe brown suits or is that totally ugly? Light tan/beige suit or linen looks so nice and keeps the guys cool! Good luck ladies!
  17. WOOHOO! Congratulations women!!! If i don't get anymore bookings this month, i may just have to go to Europe and elope! HAha!
  18. did you find anything? ANY white dress will do! Depending on the photographer, "Trash the Dress" doesn't mean to literally TRASH the dress. I actually had all my brides just do it the day or two after their wedding and we just got the bottom a little dirtier. You can still get it cleaned and preserved, but you only get married once, so just TRASH it!!! haha... Best of luck!
  19. depending on where family/friends/guests live!? I am deciding this as well, my whole family is from Michigan, but there's no way we can get married in the busy summer months and no way we'd be there in winter, SO if people are traveling out to CA (where we live now) to see us get married, why not make it a trip/vacation for everyone and a little cheaper and go to CABO!? Best of luck!
  20. It looks good! I may do more of a pastel bridesmaid dress, maybe periwinkle or lavender? Bouquet is beautiful with parasol, fun!
  21. Unfortunately there was rain on the wedding day! The couple new this before hand and were willing to dress up and see eachother the day before for their romantics! It was so much fun, we went to some of the landmarks, but the best part was the C&O Canals in Georgetown, absolutely beautiful and so romantic! Blog post featuring a few "teasers" from the session! The Gift: The "Jet Setter"...
  22. A big fan, beautiful work, you are definitely a photographer I always see in magazines and continue to be impressed and admire. Keep ROCKIN woman!
