  7. Welcome to the forum! Terri --- I agree - you should definitely consider Cabo. When I first started researching it, I believe that you can definitely get a horse drawn carriage at Pueblo Bonito. They have a chapel on-site. I don't know much about the resort itself and I haven't stayed there ... but I just remember the horse drawn carriage thing ... here's a link: http://http://www.pueblobonitosunsetbeach.com/photo.php I'm getting married at El Encanto Inn in San Jose del Cabo. They have a small chapel called Capilla Josefina. The owner is checking on a horse-drawn carriage for us to depart in after the reception. I will try to remember to let you know once I find out. Apparently, it can be pretty expensive because the stables are some distance from San Jose --- so I'll let you know when I hear back! Congratulations and Happy Planning!
  8. Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your engagement and picking your location! There are a lot of PV / Las Caletas brides here that can help! Good luck and happy planning!
  9. Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry - I don't know anything about your location, but there are lots of Beaches brides here --- and I'm sure many that have info on your location! I just wanted to welcome you!
  10. Welcome to the forum! I agree with the other girls --- for staying in the US, Hawaii would be my first recommendation! Key West is also nice, in fact, most beaches on the Gulf of Mexico have that white-sugar sand. I'm sure you'll find lots of planning help here! Good luck and happy planning!
  11. Welcome to the forum! You'll find lots of great help here! Happy Planning!
  12. Welcome to the forum! I'm not an all-inclusive type-girl either ... We're getting married at a El Encanto Inn in San Jose del Cabo .... they have a lovely little chapel there ... but, I'm not sure what the capacity is --- it might be a bit small for 200. I think that Cabo Surf is a great idea --- it is really beautiful there and if you have an outdoor wedding you could accommodate more people! We really liked the idea of San Jose because it is a little less developed than Cabo San Lucas. Let me know if you have any questions! I'm sure you'll find lots of great information and ideas here --- Happy Planning!
  13. Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry I can't help with the location ... but there are LOTS of PV brides here to help you decide! Good luck and Happy Planning!

Great idea! I completely agree ... gather a few girlfriends for the task .... it will go by faster than you think --- you'll get a system down and you'll be done before you know it! Good luck --- I can't wait to see them when you're done! BTW --- Stephanie - I love your new siggy pic (which may not be that new, but I wasn't on so much in December ...)! It's super-cute!

Also - just make sure it gets both the open and close brackets (sometimes I inadvertently cut one off ....)
  17. Thanks Tami - I'm going to check revitalash out ... Leia - Thanks for the referral ... unfortunately I'm in Dallas! But -does it hurt? Does it involve chemicals - like when a hair perm? How long does it last?
  18. I have been using MD Skincare tinted moisturizer --- it has 15 spf. I really love it. I've also used Prescriptives tinted moisturizer, too. My aesthetician told me that I didn't need anything higher than 15 spf ... but then you see all these products with much higher ones. Regardless, I've liked these two because they don't feel heavy or greasy. OH - BTW - the lady at Bobbie Brown who did my best friend's make up for her wedding said that you should NOT use a foundation w/ sunscreen for the wedding. She said that most of them contain an ingredient that reflects the sunlight --- but that same ingredient will reflect that flash from the camera - and you'll end up really shiny and on some people it will really wash them out.

  20. Tami - they are BOTH beautiful! Yours is exquisite --- it is so delicate and gorgeous! I have never seen anything like it! How exciting!
  21. Here we go again with the eyelashes .... I think I remembered an "eyelash perm" being mentioned by a couple of you on the post about the eyelash extensions ... (which I'm now re-considering after Carly's experience .... I can't find anywhere here that does them for less than $200) ... I saw that Nordstrom's spa has eyelash perm on their menu, but forgot to ask what it was .... So - I thought I would all of you girls --- what is it and does it work?
  22. Thanks girls for the compliments! It's funny, with school being so crazy, the wedding had kind of been on the back-burner. Now that the invitations are sent and my ticker keeps whittling down ... it's like "Hooray!!! I'm getting MARRIED!"
  23. Christine - you can do this for anything ... I think the only catch is that it is free for anything with $0.58 postage or more ... but there may be an extra fee if it is for $0.41 post items. I know that there were some replies about the invitations being run through the machines for sorting ... so I asked the post office lady about this (she is SUPER-NICE ... we live in a small town) ... She said that the hand-canceling is a nice touch because it gives you the red stamp (kind of old fashioned) as opposed to the black computer cancellation from the machine. The invitations going through the sorter don't get them dirty or cause problems because they are simply scanned and sorted - there is no ink involved --- so no smearing and the machine doesn't "squeeze" them because it doesn't need to print anything ON them ... so --- that's the scoop from the source!
  24. Yep - I think Tami's right - you just enter your Maiden name followed by your Married name in the "Last name" box without the hyphenation. I asked my girlfriend who did the same thing, and that's what she did .... It may be a little late - or not necessary - but here are a couple of checklists that I downloaded from somewhere - there's a change your name one and a merge your money one ... I haven't really looked over them much yet, but I need to since the big day is getting close! Checklist change your name.pdf Checklist merge money.pdf
