  1. Both my girlfriends that got married last year used Bobbi Brown ... one was for an outdoor wedding in August ... They both looked amazing. I think that they both used a stick foundation set with loose powder --- even though it sounds heavy, they both looked really natural. When I went to get a 'demo' at the counter w/ my best friend, it was an event with traveling make-up artists. The lady there said to make sure your foundation does NOT have any SPF in it on your wedding day ... she said the ingredients that block the sun also reflect the flash from the photography and you can end up looking either very shiny or really washed out ... I've asked if anyone else has heard of this, but no one has mentioned it ... it seems to make sense, though! I also use MAC products and really like them as well. There is also a good foundation primer called Photo Finish from Smashbox. It has a silicone base that minimizes pores and gives you a matte finish. Go have fun and play around at make-up counters!

  3. mmmm .... these are one of my favorite cookies and we are using them as favors --- actually as little farewell treats for guests that are departing. thanks for the recipe! i'll have to try it at home, but i don't think i'm brave enough to try and make them for my favors ... deena from sweet dreams in cabo is delivering my cookies on friday before the wedding so we can put them in bags for sunday ... if anyone wants the price quote, i can look it up ...

My WC has introduced me to so many former brides that she's still friends with! I think that's great! Elizabeth is so great! I haven't had a chance to meet Ben since she commutes in to school ... but I'm sure he's a sweetie, too! I know that she'll be LOVING being out of school - you guys will have a blast!
  5. Does anyone know if there is a service in Cabo that uses film rather than video? Just curious! If not, would you mind giving me a ball park figure for video services? I'm looking at Baja Productions and Mr. Ibarra ... Thanks!

Flying in a photog PLUS assistant, room, rental car, etc .... BUT - the one nice thing when you do that is that you get them for pretty much the entire time you're there .... We're really excited about using Juan! He has been wonderful to work with! Quote: jfavi wonder who else past cabo brides have used and been happy with... My girlfriend from school used Leigh (Miller) and her pictures were phenomenal!!!! She loved working with her .... I also know a friend who used Manuel Burgoin (sp?) --- she highly recommends him and my WC says really great things about hiim, too! And, Mr. Fraser, of course ... There are a lot of great choices! Hope that helps!

I was wondering if I PM you my email - would you mind resending the template ... for some reason I can't open it on my Mac and my PC notebook WILL open it, but it doesn't have a program to read the files ... 10. Hi girls! I'm in the process of making a template for our reception menus ... I would like to use the spanish terms for the following: Appetizers ------- the internet said "appertivo" --- so would it be Los Appertivos? or just Appertivos? or just use the singular? Salad --------- Insalata? There is only one salad being served ... Main Course ------- The only thing I could find on the internet suggest using "Mensa Principalis" ---- Is this correct? Dessert --------- The internet says "postre" --- would this be "Los Postres" since we're having both wedding and groom's cake? Thanks for the help! Apparently my 2 years of Spanish in college did nothing for me!!!

When I got to the post office, the line was really long so that woman who worked there handed me the stamper and told me to go crazy. So I am standing there with the stamper in my hand, not knowing how doing it by hand would make it "look nicer" when I suddenly decide that the purpose of of hand cancelling is to protect the stamp from getting covered by the cancelling (I know, I know). Anyway, so there I am, stamping 100 envelopes NEXT TO my beautiful stamps so as not to hide them! You should have seen the woman's face when I handed her the stack of invitations! She was like "um, miss, did you not know that you were suppose to 'stamp the stamp'? Now you either have to re-cancel everything or risk having them come back!" I felt like the biggest idiot... Too funny! Sounds exactly like something I would do ....
  13. Not sure about the details (the mods can give specifics) ... but I think it has something to do with accumulating a certain level of points / posts and maybe after a certain amount of time ... I'm not sure what perks come with the different levels ... all I know is that if you hang around long enough and stay active ... you'll be a "full member" before no time!
