  4. Here are some pics of how we had the Seagrape set up for our reception since I didn't have in my original pictures... The pics aren't great, but you can get the idea of it... We had the chairs and tables on the sides, and then danced in the middle. I know one of my friends took a pic from the top looking down. Once she sends to me, I'll repost. The Bartenders were HILARIOUS!!! They loved some of our song choices...this is during MJ's "beat it"...lol!

The Pond Gazebo is by the Regular Rooms. Technically speaking, Chandlyn should be meeting the guys/your guests in the lobby 15 ahead of time and then walking them down to the wedding area. THEN, she comes and gets you/girls from your room. You should be fine. The guys and guests were all completely lined up/seated before she even got me...
  7. OMG...so sorry...it took my FOREVER to get these to post...

  9. Kodakgallery.com*Album Not Found Kodakgallery.com*Album Not Found Here are two pics of how we had it set up. The two tables formed a "T". The head table had 6 chairs (we used for us and then our two matrons/bestmen), and then 34 people on the long part. I didn't ask, but I think that it always is one long table at mammee.
  10. lol...thanks! I like that picture too! It just adds a little outside the norm. funny thing is that it wasn't planned....someone came to fill my glass and I grabbed it... Go for it!!
  11. The Beach Gazebo, and the beach arch is infront of the Jr Suites, you will be in the perfect location to walk down. The guys and your guests will actually meet chandlyn in the lobby 15 minutes before the ceremony and walk together. The lobby connects the Regular rooms w/ the Jr suite, so you should be good!
  12. Chandlyn will come and get you and your bridesmaids (if you have any) from your room. It's not too far of a walk...
  13. I just bought a bunch of cute, blank, Thank You cards from Target. On the plane down there, I wrote all of our guests a personal note of thanks for coming etc. I made the ones for my parents, his parents, most specific and personal. I handed them out to everyone at our welcome cocktail. Everyone thought that they were so sweet. It was cheap and easy (I was WAY too anxious to sleep on the plan, anyways!)

I don't think that they can "remove" them if they are a guest staying at the resort or a professional within your family/friends. I'm guessing that is why pouchie didn't have any issues since her photographer stayed there for several days. Don't worry, just confirm with Chandlyn (and bring a copy of the confirmation with you) so you don't have to worry.
  15. I just had family/friends take pictures and the morning of our wedding, Michael's PhotoShop called to ask if we need services. I said that we were just having family and friends take pictures (which I had confirmed ok by Chandlyn via email). Then, the woman got kind of rude, threatening that it can't be any professionals or they will be removed. After all this, she then asked if she was speaking to the actual bride to confirm this. I have a feeling that it's more threats than action. When we were having our dinner at Mammee, he came up and w/out asking starting taking a few pics, putting us in these random poses. He then gave us his card to stop by and look/buy the pics, which we had no interest in doing. Whatever you do, I would have it confirmed via email by Chandlyn or Michael so there are no misunderstandings when you get down there. You don't need any stress on you day! Good luck!
  16. No one in our 40-person group had any problems. It does say something about having to have your things in the safe in order to make sure that they are "insured". I can't remember the exact wording, but it made me more confident to lock everything up. Maybe it was just a one-time scare, hopefully!!! Good luck!

And Congrats! Thanks so much to everyone for all the compliments, especially on the pics! Believe me, I was super nervous without going with Michael at RIU. My family did amazing. We ended up having WAY MORE people take pictures than even expected. If anyone else wants to use family, I would formally ask a few point family members to make sure you get all the shots you want. I asked them ahead of time, and then gave them giftcards down there for a thank you. I also asked if they needed any additional photo cards or anything. I had a list of "must have" pictures listed out so they had some guidance, ie us with Grandparents, etc. It ended up working out great!

Poochie's pictures are very beautiful with the Gazebo as well, but we knew that we didn't want something that "set up". Good luck with whatever you decide! I don't think that you can make a bad decision!!
  19. Congrats. Your pictures are amazing! I saw you and your wedding party...you looked beautiful!!
