  1. hey everyone, i'm just wondering what everyone plans on doing with their pets while away? normally i would have my sister watch them but since she's obviously coming to the wedding that doesn't work. we dont' really know our neighbors although i guess they're an option. are you boarding them? i have some time to figure it out, but just wondering...
  2. a friend of mine just came back from EDR with her boyfriend and had a great time... her pics are fantastic. she snapped one of the gazebo, so i just wanted to post for any EDR brides... you've probably seen it already, but just in case!
  3. our song is "hold you in my arms" by ray lamontagne
  4. ok let's see: paper and printing from kinko's - $40 eyelets and envelopes from paper source - $25 ribbon to tie the pieces together - $5 but then i also bought a paper cutter because i will use it again and that was $40. i made about 40 of them so they came to about $1.75 a piece.

  6. i once went to a shower where everyone was asked not to wrap the gifts. we just set them on a nice table. this way everyone just went on with the rest of the event and if you wanted to see what the bride got then you just checked out the gifts table. it was nice because the gifts weren't the focus of the event and everyone focused on mingling and having fun.
  7. making mine... but i'm getting all of my supplies from Paper Source - Do Something Creative Every Day.
  8. wow, kelly, you're wedding is coming up soon! do you mind if i pm you with some questions? it's been pretty difficult getting first hand wedding info about this resort.. make sure you do a review!!

  11. just wanted to post about how much i love vistaprint and all of its freebie deals. just ordered my favor cards. i love them and only had to pay shipping!
  12. i definately recommend renting a bike and biking around la jolla.. the best part is picking out your favorite houses because they're pretty ridiculous!
  13. my bm dresses are from jcrew. we got the silk chiffon dresses in tangerine in two different cuts- one strapless and one vneck. they're perfect.. because i didn't want anything that screamed bridesmaid and they girls can definately wear these again. i know everyone says that, but these you really can. i highly recommend!

  15. i want mine to go together nicely, but not be too matchy matchy... i want a bouquet made mostly of ranunculis (i always spell this wrong) in orange for me and my bms will carry the same but in white to offset their orange dresses.
  16. i am the total opposite! i get rid of everything... if it doesn't serve a purpose i toss it. it feels good! hah. maybe you could give yourself like 10 keepsake items to take with you. that way you can pick and choose your favorites and the things you may actually do something with... and the rest- let it go!
  17. try ko'olina Ko Olina Resort & Marina - Honolulu Hawaii it's gorgeous there! it's 4 different lagoons instead of just one expansive stretch of beach. also, there is a church (or temple?) located on a hill behind the beach. i've seen a ton of weddings there, although only from the beach. i've also seen couples take their pictures in the lagoons. i don't know if it's free but it's worth a look, i think. on a sidenote, a lot of japanese get married in hawaii because it's close to them, and they have this great tradition of releasing paper birds after the wedding and it was the coolest looking thing going over the water.
  18. silly question, but where do you have cups sewn in? can any tailor do it?
