    what resort are you getting married at? i'm getting married at the riu yucatan in playa del carmen. personally, there was no way i wanted to get married on the beach specifically for that privacy issue. i'm sure you don't actually notice during the ceremony, but i just kept seeing all these pictures with people crowded around watching. it's just not for me. but some people totally don't mind! with that being said i'm getting married in the garden.

    for our mexico themed couples shower, we have one of those big wooden things with the faces cut out to get pictures with and it looks like you're in a mariachi band. (why am i having the hardest time describing this?) and of course, the margarita machine.

    my grandparents have lived on the island for the past 20 years and whenever they have visitors they take them to paradise cove over the others. i've never asked why and i've never been to the others, but just wanted to give you a local's (my grandparents) preference.

    i don't know how long you'll be there or if you'll have time, but if you get a chance head over to bonaire for a day. it's one of the most amazing diving/snorkeling locales.

    i'm not at ROR but i am at a riu in mexico and i'm using the royal package. but the reason i'm responding to this is because i was told that if i have over 10 guests that i can't use the free package. i don't mind because i actually like the royal package... but is that something that ROR does too?

    i ordered my dress without ever trying it on and i love it and have no regrets. like you said... the worst that can happen is you send it back. no biggie!
