We canoed around their lake then took a hike (ok more of a walk) in the jungle until we came to a zip line which we zipped across a lake (super cool) then as we walked back we stopped at a cenote and repelled in and swam in the crystal clear water. Afterwards we got back to the village and the ladies of the village prepared a traditional lunch (the trip is AI) afterwards we stopped at a house where a lady was hand making a hammock then to finish the day a walk around chichen itza. While there we rented bikes for like $2 and saw lots of the property (although not necessary, the ruins are enough) A fantastic day and one of my favorites from all the excursions I have ever done at any resort. Needless to say when we got back we crashed! oooh that sounds incredible!! who was the tour through??
  2. so we'll be spending a week in rm for the wedding and we've started planning a loose itinerary of things we want to do. we're pretty wishy washy on chichen itza. it's kid of far away from playa del carmen, it's super crowded and we'll be in belize afterwards so we'll be seeing our fair share of mayan ruins. on the other hand, this is supposed to be AMAZING. just curious how many of you think it's something we cannot miss and how many of you think it's skippable...?
  3. oooh i also got fi one of these travel wallets. i got mine from pottery barn and had his initials monogrammed in it.
  4. best- eyes worst- i have one of those slightly crooked faces
  5. they're nice. there's no spine on the side so it's really slender. i originally bought slim jewel cases to use instead, but i definately like these better. i'm embellishing too.. but don't really know how yet. i think i'm going to play around with them next week.
  6. aww m, i'm sorry for this. just make sure you do what is right for you!!
  7. hi roseanna, i'm getting married at the yucatan in july. the moon palace is gorgeous! but i love the yucatan for its lushness and it's affordability. the number one thing in planning my wedding was making sure that everyone i want there would be there, so in my opinion, the riu yucatan is a great price for what you get. that being said, the wedding packages are not a bargain, i agree with you! but here's a thread with some pics and there's also information in there that i received from the wc. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t27
  8. i sent mine in the second week of march with an rsvp of may 3. it was basically just to push those who haven't booked yet. i haven't received any surprise responses, just answers i expected.
  9. so, fi and i are planning our "paperwork" signing, but we have questions about witnesses and can't find an answer. so for those married in nj- besides the witness needed for the marriage liscensce, do we need witnesses at the actual legal ceremony? our parents know we're doing this, but as far as the little ceremony part we want it to be just the two of us. is this doable? sorry if this doesn't make sense, i'm not all that familiar with this stuff as i haven't been married before hah
  10. ok update. i found really cute pale yellow ones at walmart for $1.80. wooo Quote: Originally Posted by MERRYME You will also be able to find them in Playa del Carmen easy.
