sooo i am OFFICIALLY getting married on the 4th of july this year! we called the township today to confirm and because we live in a smallish town they don't have anyone who does it in the town hall. so they gave us the name of a judge who will do it (and works solely off donations to a medical research org that her daughter needs). so now all we need to do is pick a place! which is fun because we thought we were just going to be in some weird little room... we live really close to a marina that has a gazebo which overlooks the water and the boats. it's about a block from our house so we think that would be nice. so.. cross one thing off and add another!

congrats!!!!!!!!

i only invited people who i invited to the wedding... sort of like an initial meet and greet for everyone

alright ladies, let's get it together!! i haven't done CRAP. my rsvp date was may 3rd and so far everyone except 4 people replied. i thought we were almost all set, until fi decided he really reeeeeally wanted to invite 5 more people!! and 3 of them are really trying to make it happen. it's not that i don't want more people- i just want it settled!! maura, i got all of the etsy necklaces in. the second ones i ordered (with the pearl and crystal) are MUCH nicer than the first one with just the starfish. the chain on the second is really nice quality. i recommend her stuff. the other one is fine, just not awesome. and i like awesome better..

i agree with what everyone has said and plan on doing it myself. i'm more worried about the more acquaintance people sitting next to me instead of our family. buuuut, how is everyone going about it? this might sound silly but how does the coordinator know where each person sits? do you make up a mockup to give to the wc? clearly i've never thrown any sort of large party!

yep, i'd definately say that this is very much a take-it-or-leave-it kind of resort. i'm fine with it, but i know that doesn't work for a lot of brides...

yes! i even used this same tour company! i have a few pics i'll try to dig up, but it was GREAT. we even saw whales while we were heading out. definately worth it in my opinion.

how is everyone doing? i'm about 9 weeks out.. yikes! this week so far: shower invites went out my veil came in!!!!!! (i love it, still waiting to take pics though) paid off my centerpieces and hair flowers from angel bought my shower dress (blue jcrew embossed cotton sundress)

i received my veil yesterday! it came out PERFECT, exactly like the pic i sent her. i had it shipped to my mom's but fi was with me so i couldn't take any pics... but i highly recommend occansey.
