  1. thanks everyone! using a resort photog is a gamble and we were definitely nervous, but overall we're very happy with them! Quote: Originally Posted by blinkgrl119 your photos are gorgeous lady! 2. Our wedding was july 11 at the Riu Yucatan.. we used the resort photog
  3. we stayed right in town (at the blue tang inn) so the actual beach part was small... but we rode out to the northern part of the island where the resorts are and the beaches were larger and it was much quieter. it's really not touristy at all yet, and most of the tourists we came across were honeymooners. the water activities are amazing- snorkeling, diving, fishing, boating, all really first class. i'm going to do a honeymoon review soon and i'll have lots of pics for ya

  6. my name is already changed! my new name is pretty unique so i kind of feel like a whole new person coming from the rather boring thompson i've been my whole life! abbie, did you post your pics yet? and welcome back mrs!

  8. we went straight to belize from riviera maya. it was very easy although it took some research. and personally i think it was the perfect honeymoon spot. if you end up deciding on belize, pm me and i'll let you know exactly how we got there and and who we used.
  9. we brought an ipod dock.. not for the wedding, but for personal use. it was nice to have music to listen to while we were in the room..
  10. abbie!! everything is WONDERFUL!!! i'll think of you on 7-11!
  11. so the past few days have not been without its hiccups... i have two guests without passports, one is supposed to leave on tuesday, and the other is supposed to leave on wednesday. why are people so dumb and one of my AA centerpieces smashed already.. i have them going with my mom and she went to repack them nicely and one is done. so she's going to run to ac moore and buy a new vase and see what she can do. she's pretty crafty so i'm not that worried.. just annoyed.
  12. yay abbie!!! i leave on tuesday, i think i'll talk to you before that, but just in case- CONGRATS!! you're going to be gorgeous, i know it!
  13. got it!! seriously, m, you're the best! i had a hunch i should have just asked you first- you can always hook a sista up.
  14. thanks everyone!! we've been wearing our rings around the house, i'll be sad when it's time to pack them away! 15. does anyone still have martha stewart's must-have photography list? i've been searching through the forum and i cannot find it anywhere- i know it was posted a pretty long time ago. thanks SO much in advance...
  16. thank ladies!! (maura can you update the thread title with pics?) we're married! we had the ceremony in a gazebo which overlooks a marina about a block from our house. we walk through here a lot so it was a special place to us. here's the view with the gazebo to the right: kiss your bride! us and my parents: us and our best friends who were married last month: then we celebrated with mojitos and cigars! it ended up being exactly how we wanted- sweet but mellow and low key!

  18. erica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm so excited for you i almost peed myself too!!!!!! hahaha congrats to you and jorge!!

  20. hi everyone!! how are you all coming along?? today i: - got a hair cut and color (it's a little blonder than usual) - made copies of all legal docs etc - finalized vows for legal day - confirmed transportation to airport - made mani/pedi plans is anyone else obsessing about cleaning their house?? i HATE coming home from a trip to a messy house so i'm going crazy scrubbing things and putting everything away.
  21. hello- i'm getting married at the yucatan which is in the same hotel group there so we are using the same coordinator. my planning is pretty much over- i leave in 6 days. Cinthya (the coordinator) has been pretty good. they are strict though about not really answering questions until your wedding is 2 months away. but in the past few months she's answered everything and there is nothing she told us we can't do. we are having a welcome dinner, but all Cinthya does is make reservations for your group at one of the restaurants. hope this helps a little.
  22. eveything looks amazing! can't believe you leave so soon! and you're going to shock your guests with the tiffanys favors- that's awesome
