british airways is the only one i've used on that list. i've flown with them twice and never had any issues. it was pretty roomy (as far as coach goes). the first time i flew with them i was 19 and alone on my first trip overseas and they were very nice and helped me figure out where i was going.

We flew from Belize City to home, so any car transfer prices are I listed are one way. Let me know if you have any other questions.. Quote: Originally Posted by idomexico09 Congratulations!! i was laid off last week and it sucks a lot. definitely the worst ego crusher i think i've ever had. but out of dh and i, i wasn't really the bread winner so it could have been much worse. does canada have unemployment that he can file for? not sure how it works up there, but down here i get just about 2/3 of what i was making from the government.

katrina replied to Jacqueline's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
i was a bm in a wedding that had this and it was SO much fun. i thought it was going to look like the old school film strip but it was actually more like a polaroid and they had their names on it. of course that copyright thing isn't on the final products. here's a pic -
FI afraid guests will "hijack" the wedding
katrina replied to TAHOEJENI's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
we had 35 guests and it's true that most of our time was spent with them. is there anyway for the two of you to do a mini-honeymoon? perhaps at another resort or another part of the area once your guests leave? if not, i'd just schedule a few alone time activities for the two of you- nice dinner, couples massage, etc. you will have to juggle your time, but it can be done. -

has anyone started reading the suze orman book yet (the freebie one from oprah)? so far it isn't anything i don't already know, but i'm enjoying it. -

ok here is what my mom had to say: You don't need the long cords or the same motors because ours stay cool after long use and they can be heavy because of the long nose shape. So some things I would recommend would be to look for a short barrel because your hands have to reach up over your head- hair dressers use long nose barrels but we stand up behind and over hair. Also high watts (about 1800 w) can be important for good pressure. It should be light cause arms get tired holding them up- under 2lbs if possible. And last, ionic produces less frizz. Ceramic is good too but may not always be worth the cost. My recommendation for a good home dryer would be Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic TGR 4000i Hair Dryer or an Elchim. Elchim is a little longer but still light. The Chi is popular but I think it is too long for home use and now even Conair Babyliss Tourmaline has a professional one that is good for home use.

Nordstorms Wedding Shop
katrina replied to SgtPepperette's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
my wedding dress was from nordstroms. i was able to find it in one of the stores to try it on (not in my size) then i order a few in different sizes and was able to return all of the ones that did not fit me without any issues. the other great thing is that you get free alterations. -
My BD book Came in!!
katrina replied to Saraha's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
ladies, this is an old thread. and many bdwers remove their bd pics after a while because they don't want those pictures floating around on the internet. if you really want to see sarah's you may have better luck pm'ing her. -
Bull Fighting Bachelor Party?
katrina replied to kisa's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
i've been to quite a few since i lived in spain for a while. without sounding particularly heartless, i like them. they can be tough to watch if it's your first time and it does get bloody. if the fighter does particularly well, they cut the bull's ears off. if nothing else, the atmosphere is really fun and it's something your fi will never forget. but a good thing to know is (at least in spain) the bull isn't just killed in "vain", if you will. there is a butcher van waiting outside and the meat is sold to restaurants. -
i've been to bonaire, belize and cozumel. all have great diving but are very different experiences bonaire: - much more european, it's part of the netherland antilles and everyone speaks dutch and is very blonde and fair skinned. it's kind of like being in a tropical europe. - it's the kind of place where you can just walk right into the water and start seeing sea life. nothing large, but squid, eel, brightly colored fish all hang out very close to shore so you can snorkel without much preparation. of course for diving you have to go far out. but the diving is great. all of the water around the island is zoned as a national park so it's very clean and well taken care of. - it's very dry and barren. if you head inland there are salt flats everywhere. there is a lot of history there and the tours are very interesting, but expect nothing but sand and cactus. the beaches are a bit rocky also. belize: - grittier than bonaire. locals are generally poorer but sweet as hell. also, locals and tourists really mix together. everyone goes to the same places. tons of american expats and retirees. - to see any sea life you pretty much have to take a boat. but there are a ton more options than bonaire. shark ray alley, blue hole, hol chan, etc. you can go to each spot and see different things. the reef is the second largest in the world so we've never seen as much as we've seen here. sharks, rays, eels, turtles, the biggest parrot fish ever, etc. - belize is basically a jungle. so it's a great balance between water activities and land activities. there are ruins and ziplines. you can go to guatemala for the day to see even more ruins. the jungle spas a great also. we traveled along the panamerican highway, which for history buffs like us was pretty cool. personally i liked both belize and bonaire better than cozumel. cozumel's diving was definitely great and actually cheaper than both other places. but i thought the other places had more to offer overall. cozumel became a little boring to dh and i after a little while. let me know if you have any questions.

thanks everyone! thanks for the facebook wishes also. for any of the philly girls, we went to parc rittenhouse- the new steven starr restaurant. delish!! i highly recommend it.

that didn't happen to us in with mexico as we used cash and traveler's checks to pay for the wedding. but when we booked our honeymoon (belize) we received the same charges. it's annoying because it certainly isn't something you think about budgeting in..

i don't have any advice, but here is the TTC (trying to conceive) thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t30154 good luck!

One month to go...and we just had a HUGE fight!
katrina replied to neen's topic in Just venting or funnies
we had a screaming match the night before our wedding. it was totally a bummer. and as we kept fighting, we stopped getting mad at the original argument and just got so mad at each other for fighting right before the big day! when i look back, it's certainly not how i want to remember that night, but that's life- stress happens. Quote: Originally Posted by Morgan I've seen so many huge pre-wedding fights. It's a really stressful time. I hated when mike & I fought while engaged. I tried to not get angry that he wasn't helping. I told him from the beginning he didn't have to help unless I really needed him. A few times I still got grumpy that I was so busy & he was relaxing. but, overall I wanted all the wedding stuff. He could have done without it so i didn't think it was fair to make him share in the work & most of the time I really enjoyed it. he always stepped in when i really needed him. but, i think i did end up doing most of the jobs assigned to him. -
jenn, i have no advice! BUT i wish you plenty of luck, it must be incredibly frustrating.
