  1. Stephanie, you absolutely did the right thing by going over there & you continue to show your mother that you truly care about her & her wellbeing. Hopefully, this incident was enough to show her that he isn't really someone she should have in her life if he would scare her to that point. I hope it works out & just know that you're in my thoughts!
  2. Love it Lizz. Glad that it worked out & you got the one you really LOVE!
  3. Everything looks perfect! Love your dress & your BM's dresses & ofcourse the shoes & the colors. Funny, I ordered the same shoes from my mom last week. Did you get them from Avon?? Your OOT bags look great as well. You did a wonderful job with everything. Can't wait till you get back to share all of the details & the pics. Now have the time of your life!!!
  4. I agree with Erica. I know its easier said than done but try to relax. It seems like they've re-organized the staff & maybe they'll get it together within the next few days & give you the info that you requested. I know it must be frustrating, but try calling the new WC again & let her know what you need. Explain that this is stressful & you don't think you're getting the service that you deserve, especially with your wedding 29 days away. If you have to, find out who her boss/supervisor is. Maybe you can call/email them as well. Also, do you have pics/ideas of the things that you want? If so, definitely email those to her & see if she can give you price quotes based on what you want. As long as you have an idea about what you want, I think you'll be fine. You can always work based on the ideas that you already have. Definitely try to stay positive. It will all work out in the end.
  5. Wow, those are totally cute & different. Hmmm...$25 bucks I'm not sure if I would get them. Maybe if it were a set with a tank top included I wouldn't mind. But I guess its the thought/idea that makes them more appealing. Under normal circumstances, I don't think I'd get them, but as a bride-to-be I say if you want them, go for it. It's your wedding, it's all about you!!! How can anyone dispute special purchases? LOL
  6. Sorry for your loss Crystal. I will definitely keep you & your family in my prayers. Travel safely.
  7. These came out great! Your mess indicates that you worked long & hard on these! LOL...Good job tho! And it only took you 8 hours?? How many did you do?
  8. I've watched every season & I love it. I don't know why but I do. I was so excited when it started up again this season & saw that they were all gonna be in 1 house. Now I especially can't wait to see who's hooking up with who!
  9. WOW....Beautiful, beautiful, beautiffffffullllllll....Did I say beautiful You look great in it. Now I see why you just up & bought it! Excellent choice.
  10. Thanks for the pics Cherie. Everything looked soo great. From all of those smiles you all look like you had the best time. I loved your dress & your hair and I love how that blue looks in the pics. I'm glad you brought up the wind. I was thinking of wearing my hair down but I think I'm having 2nd thoughts. For some reason, I wasn't thinking about wind. Also loved the hoopa. It was very pretty. Oh, quick question. I really liked your sand ceremony set. Where did you get that from? Did you get it home ok? Thanks again!!!
  11. Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy your day!!
  12. Congrats Paula. Hope you have the time of your life. Everything that you did turned out great. Also, LOVE your dress-it is gorgeous & the BM's dresses too!!!
  13. I jumped on a stuffed animal because I'm a Ninja! I am dying right now reading these!!!
  14. Sorry it didn't work out. I don't know why they would give you such a hard time especially if you were going to buy another dress from them. That really sucks!!! Do you need us to go kick someone's butt? I can't fight-at least I don't think so, but for a fellow bdw'er I'd be willing to try. Don't they know the bride to be is supposed to get her way allll the time
  15. You've definitely got a problem....You can't decide & neither can I. LOL... They really looked great on you & you looked like you had fun. But, I think my faves were #5, #15, #20 & #22. Which was your favorite? Which did you just not want to take off? Which are you still thinking of right now

I will call the wedding sales department and move from there. I am actually using Michelle at Liberty Travel. I think that she is swamped, but I just needed/wanted some kind of confirmation. A simple, "Ok. Your wedding is a go for oct 4th. Feel free to send out invitations now." No problem. Your concerns are perfectly understandable. You'll see that all of the past & future Riu brides are great and have learned so much from each other & no one ever has a problem sharing that info. Oh, make sure to go to the Jamaica section & you will see tons of posts about ROR. There's alot of info in them. Happy reading.
  18. Ok, I'm gonna try to answer your questions in the order that you posted. As long as you got a confirmation from the Wedding Dept, you should be good. You're not going to lose anything because money isn't taken from you until you get there & meet with Chandlyn. When you meet with Chandlyn that is when you pay for your package, reception, decorations, etc. For your reception, you can contact Chandlyn and let her know which restaurant you would like to reserve & the time that you would like. She will let you know if its available. For now you can contact the Wedding Department just to re-confirm your date & time and make sure that it is available. Here is her contact information: Carolina Miranda Sales Wedding Coordinator Ocho Rios & Negril, Jamaica Weddings By Riu America's Division Phone: + (52) 984 877 23 20 Email: [email protected] Wedding Packages by Destination. Honeymoon Holidays. Weddings by Riu Once you do that & your date/time is confirmed, then send Chandlyn an email asking her about your reception. Here's her contact info: Chandlyn Edwards (876) 972 22 00 [email protected] All the ROR brides hear how busy Chandlyn because of the amount of weddings that she handles in one day. Because of that she is a bit slow to respond to emails, especially when your wedding date is far out. Once your date is near, she is very good about responding quickly. I think you should be fine as long as you confirm your date. I hope this helps!

  20. Thanks sooo much for that great review. Everything really sounds like it was beautiful. I can't wait to see the pics of everything, especially your ceremony & reception decor. And wow, you used the DJ for an extra hour & didn't even use the music you brought That is very reassuring! Congrats again! Now bring on the pics!
