Congratulations & Welcome to the forum James. You can definitely find lots of info here regarding boarding pass invites. Just go to the Search key & type in boarding pass invites & review the threads there. You'll find many examples, directions & templates from all of the lovely ladies here who have tackled this project. You can also check out the Hawaii section of the forum. Someone may be able to help you out there with DJ recommendations! Happy searching!

I'm sure one of our newlywed ROR bride's will clarify, but from what I've heard, you meet with Michael the day after your wedding to review the pics that he has taken. You then chose what you want & he puts those on a cd. So you get what you want before you leave Jamaica. I think someone also said that he holds on to the pics he has taken for sometime & that if you ever want an additional copy of something, you can order it from him. The important thing to find out would be if those pics on a cd come with a release & are fully printable or do they have his logo on it.

This may not help the '08 brides but may make a difference to the '09 brides and beyond. **JUSTUSTWO** May I ask which photographer you are using? I know Michael's work is great, but like you said, we all have a different vision. Also, I wanted to make sure that for the $ I'm spending, I want my pictures to be exactly what I want. That being said, after going back & forth as to what I should do, thats when I contacted my photographer. I will PM you her info. I thought that bringing in a photographer wouldn't be affordable, but I found that as long as you're honest about what you can afford, you'll definitely be able to find someone who is willing to work with you & make it happen! Davina & Heidi, I think that anything that we do now will benefit us & future brides. I think the more names we have on 1 letter, the better. At least they will see that this is an issue & policy that needs to be addressed & revised. So, how shall we do this? I sent 2 emails to the Wedding Sales Coordinator, who used to be Carolina. I received an auto response from Valeria MunguÃa, Wedding Sales Coordinator of Jamaica just saying that I should receive a reply within 24 hours, which ofcourse, I haven't. I also sent an email to Chandlyn for clarification on the policy but have yet to hear from her either. I don't know where else to turn at this point.

That really, really sucks!

I've sent 2 emails in the past 2 days to the head of Wedding Sales. I do not understand why I'd be responsible for paying any breach of contract fees when I don't have a contract with Michael. I am determined not to pay that fee! As a matter of fact, had I thought about it before, I would have suggested a letter from all of us upcoming ROR brides who are not happy with the policy demanding that we not be held responsible.

You're very right in that Riu Photography is a hot topic. There are many brides who have used Michael & given him rave reviews and, their pictures speak for themselves & are really beautiful. Have you looked at those pics that were posted to help make your decision? If you haven't here are some posts with pictures done by Michael: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t15448 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14640 While I found Michaels work to be okay, I'm going with an outside photographer from the forum. As you said, its an important decision and you really have to do whats best for you.

Maybe Carly already has her's & can help us out. Also, for some reason, I had trouble with the discount code when placing my order. I had to submit the order & then call & speak to a rep to have the discount applied. -
OOT Bags, anyone ever used these

No? The code would make a lot of sense, but, do you think that is something they would create just for us? You know what I mean? And then, we would have to guarantee that we'd be ordering a specific amount. What if we say we'll order 200 bags & they give us a price based on that amount & a code. Then, for whatever reason, someone changes their mind cuz things do happen. What happens then? Especially for those of us who may have placed our order before the person changed their mind. Would they go back & charge us differently? I'm just trying to think of possible scenarios that could affect us later. It would seem that the bulk order would work better. However, as you mentioned, the shipping would be an issue. It seems that we would be paying shipping twice, once for the original order & then the cost of getting it shipped to us from the original person. But if we're splitting the original shipping cost between a specific amount of people, isn't that still a good deal? Geez who knew this could be so confusing LOL Either way, I know that these are the bags that I am interested in. I guess its just a matter of deciding what we'd like to do. -

Considering this entire issue & the fact that the poster didn't know she had the ability to turn the signatures off, I do have a question. I know that we are all adults here and we should be responsible enough to read the rules/instrusctions of the forum prior to joining. However, I can personally say that I joined & didn't read anything that I should have read in terms of forum do's & dont's, posting & you, rules, etc. The things that I have learned here as to how the forum operates, have been trial & error and from reading other people's issues in threads. And it wasn't until AnnR bumped the posting & you thread, that I ever really read anything at all. That being said, would it seem, lets see, whats the word I'm looking for, would it seem childish to be required to read forum do's & dont's & rules, prior to joining & being able to post? It seems like a laborsom suggestion, but in the end, would it cut down on a lot of confusion/questions as to all of the features that BDW has?

OOT Bags, anyone ever used these
JUSTUSTWO replied to nueland's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
UPDATE I called Dharma today and asked about a larger discount above the $3.99 per bag if we were to order an estimated 180 bags. The representative that I spoke to told me that she had to ask the buyer. She put me on hold and told me that instead of $3.99, the buyer could do $3.85. I asked her if that was the lowest she could go & she said yes. She then went on to say that if I ordered more, the buyer would possibly go down more on the price. I told her I would get the final #'s & then call back. She said that I could call & speak to the buyer directly, his name is David. If anyone else would like to try their luck, please do so! The bigger the discount, the better for us. Also I guess if this is something that we are interested in then we should get our final #'s & call back. At least they are willing to work with us. What do you ladies think? -

wedding band help...
JUSTUSTWO replied to dmarie17's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I agree, your ring is gorgeous. I've heard a lot of brides say that when they couldn't find a band for their e-ring, they just wore their e-ring on their right hand and bought a totally different band to wear on their left hand. Is this something that you think would be an option? -

If someone else wants to call, I'd be ordering at least 75 bags, and from what I can tell, we'd be just under 150, which is more than 2x their 60+ category of price, so maybe they'd be willing to go lower. Otherwise I'll try when I get my voice back. Oh gosh, sorry to hear that! I'll give them a call tomorrow morning & see what they say.
