  1. When I went to my 2nd fitting, I tried on a veil & a bridal comb. I really, really, really fell in love with the comb. I was alllll ready to get it until she told me that it was $100. I couldn't buy it right then & there cuz I didn't want to spend that much on it. She tempted me by saying that they had it in stock & that I should get it because she didn't know if they would have it when I came back. I still said no. I asked her to write down the style # in the event that they didn't have it when I came in the next time & I needed to order it. So thankfully she wrote it down. However, I have no idea what it means. She wrote down: A.A. Style A-1807-C I tried looking it up online but couldn't find it anywhere. The only thing that I think I figured out is that AA means AA Bridal. I know you ladies are great & can find just about anything & especially at a great price. The only downside is that I can't freaking remember what it looks like. All I know is that it has Swarovski crystals. It seems like mission impossible, but can anyone help me out with this? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
  2. That dress is beautiful on you. If you love it then you should get it! I think it will look great on the beach!
  3. Melanie those came out great!!! You did an excellent job. And here you were saying you had no DIY abilities. You can definitely pat yourself on the back!!!

The thing that really sucks is the fact that when I'm looking for all 3 initials, alot of places don't have the letter "Y"!!! Helloooo, Y's are impt too!

But if he knew how much all 3 cost he would certainly change his mind!
  10. Okay, I thought I really wanted a monogram cake topper of our initials. I've been looking & looking and can't make a decision. I thought that I would buy a plain one and then bling it out myself as I've seen many of you do. I really like how Shelley's starfish cake topper came out & figure I can do that myself. I don't want to spend a lot on this at all & see that they can cost a pretty penny which FI is not having. So with all of this said, how do you feel about monogrammed cake toppers? Did you have one/Are you getting one? Did you skip it/Are you skipping it? Maybe your thoughts will help me figure out if its really necessary or if I can just skip this & focus on the other 10,000 things I have left to do. Thanks for your input! Yolanda

  14. Thanks for posting this. They have a great selection.
  15. I don't think this is cheezy or cheap. I think its a good idea especially if you have them & were going to give them away anyway. People are still going to get good use out of them. Who's ever going to know but you that it was a GWP? Go for it!

I quickly got off the phone with her. So glad I have you guys. LOL

  18. to the forum! And congrats on becoming a Riu bride!
  19. I'm all about saving money but when its your wedding gown, it may be worth it to just buy it from the bridal shop. I only say this because of the alterations. The only way I'd go with the ebay dress was if you know of a reputable seamstress who is experienced with wedding gowns, that you know personally who is going to do the alterations and do them for less than $300. If you're gonna pay $545 for the dress & then get quotes of up to $300 for alterations, are you really saving a lot of $? And like you said, you're losing weight, etc, let the bridal shop do it & don't worry about the seamstress expense later. Does your dress have a lot of details & beading? Thats also something to think about. I do like the idea of asking them to match the price.
  20. Oh heck, I forgot about the MUSIC!!! Gotta get FI on top of that. It's official....I can feel my Bridezilla transformation coming on!!! LOL
  21. You know what, I think I'm gonna invite my girlfriends to a "HELP YOLANDA GET HER STUFF TOGETHER" Assembly Party. I get a funny feeling that I'd be the only one there!!! I may have to disguise this as a "LETS HAVE SOME DRINKS" Party just to lure them in.
  22. Oh brother!!! Add me right on in. While I love my ticker to death, everytime I look at it I want to cry cuz it reminds me of how far behind I am! I have a long list of things I have yet to do. OOT Bags...just ordered YESTERDAY Still have to do the iron transfers when they come in Then putting all the stuff together that goes in the OOT bags Haven't gotten the raffia fans yet, then when they come I have to put the ribbon & flowers on them INVITES...HELLO....Those will probably go out next week!!!! Travel Info Packet Welcome Letter Wedding Jewelry Programs Favors And I'm the one who said that I wanted to be packed at least 2 weeks before the wedding. Why do I think thats not gonna happen. Sigh...I'm gonna go cry again. I don't know what happened. Where did the time go?
