DRIVER's LICENSE Once you get your new card you can then go to the DMV and get your license changed. I have yet to do this but I will let you guys know about the process as soon as I do it. That is all I can think of for now but I'll update with any other changes I make. Glenda thanks for posting this! I just wish I had this info while I was going thru all of this. In terms of the Driver's License, you can go online & fill out the form that has to do with "name changes". I then took that form, my marriage certificate & my old drivers license & went to the DMV. I thought I just had to give them that form & that would be it. I was not prepared for them to tell me that I had to take a new picture!!!! I did that & that was it. I got my new license in the mail in like 2 weeks. All of the other stuff was pretty easy, except for the SS card. That was by far the WORST experience. I went in Brooklyn since the SS office is right around the corner from my job. I spent 3 hours there!!! I'm just glad its all over! Thanks again!
  2. Make sure you don't bring too many people with you. While its very tempting to bring a lot of people, keep in mind that everyone will have an opinion. You don't want to be confused, so keep it at a minimum. Listen to yourself! If you think that a dress is "the" dress, go with that feeling! But at the same time, don't feel compelled to find a dress on this 1 day. Bring your camera! It will be very helpful when you want to remind yourself of what a certain dress looked like. Definitely try on styles that you wouldn't have ordinarily considered! Oh, in addition to the boy shorts, have a strapless bra! MOSTLY...HAVE FUN!!! It can be stressful but this is a big day for you!

I realize you still have to pay for minister/judge fees. I have my own flowers and would only need decorations, dinner, cake and pics. My question is though it states you need to book 5 rooms. Does this mean I have to book all 5 rooms myself or if I have 4 other couples attending (along with myself & FI) would that count? I've currently booked the Royal Package but there are only 6 (hopefully eight) of us going. I wanted that package initially for the flowers, room upgrade etc. but I may not need it now as i have flowers & booked a Jr. Suite. Any thoughts? You don't have to book the 5 rooms yourself, its the total room count that you have among you & your guests! As long as you & your guests occupy a minimum of 5 rooms, you are set! We initially booked the Royal Package, but when we got there we decided to go with the Free Package & then we just upgraded whatever we wanted. It worked out much better for us. Hope that helps you.

My FI and I have already booked and were planning to arrive on Wednesday because we heard that you need to be there 2 full business days prior to your wedding date. However, we may need to change our arrival date to Thursday due to some other obligations. I was just wanting to know if this is possible or do we have to arrive on Wednesday? Any information you guys can pass along is greatly appreciated!!!! Brandie We arrived on Tuesday & were married on a Friday. If you have to change your arrival date for any reason, I suggest sending an email to Chandlyn, explain your situation & ask her if this is a problem. I vaguely remember someone else not being able to arrive 2 days early & I don't think they had a problem.
  7. Definitely go to department stores & experiment. You may be able to get away with just a nice longline bra. It definitely sucks you in. Hopefully you'll find one thats low in the back. I got mine onsale for $20 bucks at Macy's. The same one that I got was at David's Bridal for $75. So definitely shop around!
  8. Absolutely beautiful. Love your ceremony site, your dress, the colors, the flowers....everything was lovely. You were glowing in every picture! Congrautlations!
  9. We used Lee's for a trip to Dunn's River & for a shopping trip.

  11. Morgan, I really liked your 2nd video. What I liked the most were the effects that you have where you capture each step as if I'm watching you in real time. You know what I mean? Like the frames of you going up the steps to meet Mike. And then you two coming down the steps! And then there's the one of you running into his arms & him lifting you up. You have that effect in there in a couple of shots & I thought it was just too cute!
  12. Welcome Helen! You'll love it here & you will love ROR!
  13. Welcome Jen. Love the pics you took for Alyssa! Definitely got me thinking!
  14. What style of dress are you looking for? Something beachy or formal? I know that some brides here have used Prom Dresses - Wedding Dresses - Bridemaids - Mother of the Bride Gowns and www.houseofbrides.com. You can even check out jcrew. They have very nice dresses that would be great for a beach wedding. You can also take a look at Nordstrom: Designer Collections and Top Apparel, Shoe and Beauty Brands. They have a good selection of dresses that can be used at bm dresses. Good luck.
  15. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. Love your colors, your dress, your flowers, the arch (i loved the little hint of pink fabric even though thats not what you wanted), the parasols....everything! Congrats!
  16. Katrina your pics are beautiful. Love how everything looks. It looks like you had a great day! Congrats.
  17. Abbie those came out great. My fave is the one with the sunbeams! You'd never know that they weren't "pro" pics. Tell BIL to get some business cards printed! LOL

  19. Definitely contact the main office. They helped me get the date that I really wanted by calling couples who had the dates on hold but hadn't actually completed the reservation process. Its worth a try. Good Luck!
