Tara, these are just toooo cute. Wonder if I could justify ordering 250 of these even though our wedding is over Maybe hubby wouldn't notice if they magically appeared -

Beautiful!!! Love the veil too! -
Nice pics! I really love the first pic! Its something about the color that just gets me. Its like the camera focused on Mijo, but that hint of green in the background just jumps out at me.

TTD question?
JUSTUSTWO replied to Erica053009's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings

I kinda know someone, who knows someone who had a DW and she did it right after the ceremony and then changed but it was only 1 pic with the entire bridal party ...I thought it was weird to spend all that $ and everything be ruined 20 minutes in to the wedding... So what is the TTD protocol? I really don't think there is a TTD protocol. I think most brides did what they felt was most comfortable for them. From reading many reviews here on BDW, it seems that you have those who did it the day of, later on after the reception & changed their dress so nothing is really "ruined", and those who did it the day after the wedding. Some did it in their wedding dress, and some used a different dress. I say go with what you think you'd like to do. -

Seriously, i almost had a heart attack - WTF!?! Ok, I've had a drink so I'm chalking this up to the fact that my eyes are a little foggy & deceiving me. I know you didn't say $800? I will have to do strike duty every day for the 1st week, for up to 4 hours a day, to send the company a "message". After the 1st week, we have to do 2 days a week, 5 hours each day!

So here it is Friday, 4:23 pm & I am at my desk packing up all of my personal belongings. I work for Verizon and our contract is due to expire Sunday at 12:00 am. If the union and Verizon do not settle the contract before then, I WILL OFFICIALLY BE ON STRIKE on Sunday at 12:01 am!!! As of now, our union officials have told us that it doesn't look good at all. Sigh......Usually this wouldn't bother me too much but hubby & I are both Verizon employees so that means, NO MONEY COMING IN FROM EITHER OF US!!!! We've been on strike before, but that was when we were dating & not part of the same household. And luckily, we've never been on strike for more than 1 week, although hubby faced a strike back in 1989 that was for 3 months! Hubby & I have totally different feelings. He thinks we'll be out & about, on road trips, and I'm trying to figure out what bills we can pay and which we can skip! LOL So, I am off, on my way home, with my stuff in a bag and I will sit in front of the TV & search the web for the rest of the weekend, looking for updates and keeping my fingers & toes crossed that I will be coming to work on Monday! I don't mind a few days off, but anything more than that will be tough. Here's some info I pulled up regarding the potential strike. For those of you who haven't heard about it yet, I'm sure the news will spread if the strike becomes official. Verizon faces strike Saturday- Syracuse.com

We had to put down 1 night's deposit of our group rate, per room. Then we paid the remainder 1 month before our groups arrival date. So to make sure we had everyone's $ on time, we gave our guests a deadline of 1 month before the actual remainder was due, so that was actually 2 months before our arrival date. We didn't want ANY problems with guests & not having the money!

How much are alterations??
JUSTUSTWO replied to Davematthews16's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My alterations were a flat fee of $300. Included was anything that I needed done to the dress from top to bottom. I thought that was highway robbery...but each time I had a fitting I saw how the dress changed & saw how much work it entailed. So I guess in reality it is worth it, especially if you have a lot to do, but it really hurt me to part with that much $! -
That is really cool. When I first read the title to the thread I thought hmmm...Jen wants to work for Diddy? I want to work for Diddy too!

Um, lets see...I don't even remember when I actually went to the store. But just keep in mind that you should have your dress ordered no less than 8 months from your actual date, but that is depending on the designer & ofcourse doesn't apply if you're buying off the rack. I would even say that you have 6 months but I wouldn't wait any longer than that. Even though I had found my dress in the summer, I waited 2 more months before I actually ordered it. By that time, I had to pay a rush fee because the delivery time was 6 months. So the rush fee ensured that my dress got in on time. And remember, once its ordered & gets in to the bridal shop, there are alterations, which can take roughly another month! Hopefully that didn't confuse or overwhelm you! LOL
