Nice pics! I really love the first pic! Its something about the color that just gets me. Its like the camera focused on Mijo, but that hint of green in the background just jumps out at me.

We've been on strike before, but that was when we were dating & not part of the same household. And luckily, we've never been on strike for more than 1 week, although hubby faced a strike back in 1989 that was for 3 months! Hubby & I have totally different feelings. He thinks we'll be out & about, on road trips, and I'm trying to figure out what bills we can pay and which we can skip! LOL So, I am off, on my way home, with my stuff in a bag and I will sit in front of the TV & search the web for the rest of the weekend, looking for updates and keeping my fingers & toes crossed that I will be coming to work on Monday! I don't mind a few days off, but anything more than that will be tough. Here's some info I pulled up regarding the potential strike. We had to put down 1 night's deposit of our group rate, per room. Then we paid the remainder 1 month before our groups arrival date. So to make sure we had everyone's $ on time, we gave our guests a deadline of 1 month before the actual remainder was due, so that was actually 2 months before our arrival date. We didn't want ANY problems with guests & not having the money!

My alterations were a flat fee of $300. Included was anything that I needed done to the dress from top to bottom. I thought that was highway robbery...but each time I had a fitting I saw how the dress changed & saw how much work it entailed. So I guess in reality it is worth it, especially if you have a lot to do, but it really hurt me to part with that much $!
