I had just gotten back to work & was walking in the hallway & someone referred to me as "Mrs" and I ignored them. They were like, "hellllooo Yolanda, didn't you hear me talking to you?" I totally didn't know they were talking to me cuz they called me by my new name!!! Talk about embarrasing! It really takes some getting used to! And then wait until you're with your MIL & someone says "Hi Mrs so & so". You'll both be like "Hi"!!! LOL... His friends would do that & I know they were talking to me, so in my head, I'd be like um, I think they're talking to me!!!

Anyway, it was just so weird (maybe not the right word to use) to see the word "husband" for the first time. I did a double take... like, wait, what? It was exciting to think of him as my future husband and not my boyfriend, or even fiance! Anyone else had this breakthrough moment? Please! It's been 4 months since our wedding & I still say/hear "husband" and am like "what", "who"? Ohhh....yeah, right, he's my husband now! LOL! I also blush or smile sometimes when I refer to him as hubby and I get so surprised at myself for feeling this way. I keep wondering when the warm/tingly feeling is gonna pass!
  3. I think its just that she's extremely busy & she's the only WC that ROR has. Remember, there are up to what, 4 weddings a day? Monday thru Saturday? And she's all there is!!! She may not be very prompt when it comes to responding to brides who's dates are far out. But, once your date is 2-3 months away, her responses come quicker. I know that this may not seem fair, or settling, especially when you're a planning, excited, bride to be, but know that it will get better. At least that was my experience.

  6. That is just too cute! Thanks for adding the pictures. You have to keep them handy for any blackmail situations! I'm sure he doesn't want the ones of him with the "veil" to be floating around!!! LOL

  10. You can also do a hair trial when you get to ROR. You can schedule the appt for a day or 2 before your actual wedding. A few ROR brides did this. Just make sure you have a picture of your hairstyle to show the stylist. If you have more than one, or from different angles, that would definitely help.

I saw a post online somewhere, that they suggested everyone walking down single, then meeting groom at alter. If I choose to do this, would it be better for boy-girl-boy-girl order, or both the guys, then both the girls? I also saw that the groomsman usually don't walk the aisle at all. I'm so confused! Thanks for your help! We had 1 MOH, flower girl & 1 BM. My husband & BM didn't "walk" down the aisle. Since they walked with all the guests to the ceremony site, the WC just placed them at the alter. At the start of the ceremony, my MOH walked down 1st and then the FG. I say do what you want to do since its your wedding! Have them walk how you want them. LOL!

If you want to avoid being charged at all, you probably would be better off bringing both. But, check with Chandlyn first to see what the charge would be.

If you're really going to purchase something like this, I say try to find one in a store & test it out, just to make sure that it fits your needs. I originally bought mine from Best Buy but that was about 3 years ago & I'm not really sure they even carry it there anymore. But I'm sure that if you go to any major electronics store, they will have some kind of IPOD docking station for you to test out. But I would definitely recommend the Lansing to anyone!
  14. Very nice pics. I'm glad that everything worked out with the Shutterfly album & that you got it in time!
  15. I LOVE the Amsale. Its really beautiful on you. The Pronovias is pretty too, but the Amasle gets my vote!

Also, what did you do with the speakers when you weren't using them, did they fit in the room safe? You can get the Bose Soundock: Bose® - SoundDock® Digital Music System for Apple® iPod™ - White - SOUNDDOCK or, you can get the Altec Lansing InMotion: Sweet iPod Speakers - Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 - At A Glance - Reviews by PC Magazine I have the InMotion & love it. It was definitely a good investment & we use it allll the time. Not sure if you'd be able to fit this in the safe though.

Thanks in advance If you have an idea, or a picture of what you want your ceremony site to look like, I'd send it to Chandlyn & ask her if those decorations pictured, are included in your package. This way you get an idea of what you're getting and you can see which package would accomodate your needs. You don't want to pay extra for the Caprice package & then find out that you could've gotten the same decorations at a lesser cost in the Royal package.

They will probably guide you to the groups manager for Riu Aruba. Riu Groups Department: [email protected]

You don't have to notify the state of your marriage. You can use your temporary certificate or you can wait until you get your official license in the mail to change your impt documents, such as your drivers license & social security card. Because I really don't use my credit cards, I was able to use my temporary certificate as proof as marriage & change my names on those. But you'll need the official license to change your drivers license, bank accounts & social security cards. You can also take a look here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t26306
  20. I checked Macys.com & found these linen pants: Search Results - Macy's
  21. Some BDW brides used: Travel Mugs - Stainless Steel Coffee Mugs - Steel Travel Mugs,Custom Mugs,Promotional Mugs,Discount Mugs,Logo Mugs,Custom Coffee Mugs, Coffee Travel Cups, Insulated Mugs with Custom Imprint from Discountmugs.com. Promotional Products for the Promotio They do have a minimum order requirement, but I can't remember how many it was. We only had 35 guests attend the actual wedding, and we gave one mug per person. We gave the extras to those family & friends who couldn't make it. So it worked having the extra's. If you think about using them, search the forum for coupon codes & see if there's any discount available. You can also sign up for their emails & they will send you specials when they have them.
  22. I think that you should keep your photographer. I only say this because it is still your wedding! Altho you're pregnant, these are still pics that you want to look back on & be happy about. As a matter of fact, being pregnant is more of a reason to have great pics. So, while they won't be the pics that you envisioned, they are still pics that will tell the story of your wedding. Even though you say your dress won't be "perfect" & that you'll be a little "chubbier" LOL, your wedding will still be wonderful! Why settle for a resort photographer who you say isn't that great! KNIM? Either way, you should do what you feel will make you the most comfortable!

In terms of the charge for the speaker, that seems like something that they may charge you for. What instrument exaclty is your friend playing? Does he really need a speaker? How well he is heard will probably depend on where you are having your ceremony, beach or gazebo. Definitely run it by Chandlyn & see what she says.
