  1. to the forum. I initially picked Vegas before we switched to Jamaica. There were soo many choices it made my head spin. At least you have something in mind though. I'm sure you'll find lots of help here! Congrats & happy planning!

  3. You're not alone in this. Many of us BDW brides have been where you are now. As you said, focus on whats most important, you & FI. In the end, when you look back on your day, thats what you will remember. The great time that you had & the fact that you are married! Also, when I felt the same way & was complaining to my mother, she made me realize that the people that were coming, were the people who I should be thankful for. They made the sacrifice & that should show me how much they cared. I was spending so much time worrying about those that were'nt coming, that I forgot how special those that did come were! So, again, you'll be fine. Don't worry about those who can't come, backed out, whatever. Think about all the wonderful memories you'll have of your wedding day, spent with friends & family who matter the most. And a group of 20 is much more intimate & manageable than a group of 40-50! I don't know what I would've done if I had to keep up with & entertain 50 guests instead of 30.
  4. Very nice. Those shows are really gonna be a nice touch. I love the hints of bling on the front. Can't wait to see you all glammed up with the complete look! Are you doing a veil?
  5. I like #2 or #4. If you use either of these, could you still add the resort in small print, like under your names? I like having the resort in monograms.
  6. Awww...sorry to hear that. Stitching sounds good. Why not try it & see what happens. Are the holes in a noticeable place? Like are they at the bottom of the veil, near the sides, etc? Did you order it online? If not, can you take it to the person who made it & see what they can do? Or what about a seamstress? Again, sorry to hear that but I'm sure you'll work it out. I think the roomba needs a timeout!
  7. Nice pictures. You looked beautiful in that dress. Like the way you had your hair & the headband, it was a nice touch! Your bouquet is very pretty. Looks like you guys had a great time. Can't wait to see the pro pics. Congratulations!!!
  8. Absolutely beautiful Jessica. Amazing pics are a nice thing to blow the budget on!
  9. Just saw the pics that you posted of the Wailea Marriott. Hope you have a great time & a wonderful wedding day! Can't wait for your pics & your review.
  10. Congrats on getting married in Maui Sherry! We were right next door at the Grand Wailea for our HM in April. We also went to the Luau that was at the Marriott. We had a great time there & found the grounds of the Marriott to be beautiful. You can also access the Grand Wailea & their part of the beach, right from the Marriott's beach. There's a small walkway which takes you between both. The pics that you posted are just beautiful & I can't wait to go back one day soon since we had a great time. Hope you have a wonderful wedding!
  11. I did one bag per couple & 1 bag for each single person. Just like Danielle, for the travel mugs, I did one per person. I think the cost of the bags depends on how many guests you have & what you can afford. Definitely buy things in bulk where you can & that should keep your overall costs down a bit.
  12. Hope you have a great time & a wonderful wedding day! Look forward to your return with pics & your review!
  13. Hubby & I did not do a site visit & everything worked out wonderfully. A site visit was not in our budget at all. I did all of my research online and paid lots of attention to reviews. The fact that there were BDW brides who posted pics & reviews of the resort, greatly influenced my decision to chose it in the first place. Even though we made our decision, we were still nervous about it right up till the day that we arrived at the resort. But once we walked into the lobby, we knew that we made the right decision and were very relieved. Our guests loved every moment & I would not have changed a thing!
  14. Welcome to BDW Carrie! Congrats on being a ROR bride. You will definitely find lots of help here.
  15. Great review Karma! You have me wanting to get on a plane & go to RP right now. I must say, you were really glowing on your day & looked beautiful. Both dresses are gorgeous & that reception dress is just too hot! I also love your veil. It was a pretty touch. Again, everything was just beautiful! Congrats!
  16. Morgan as Heather said, there's nothing to worry about! You don't have to be a gambler at all. Between sightseeing & going to shows, there will be enough to pass the time by. There are so many cool themed hotels for you to visit. Check out Bellagio. The fountain show is great. The last time we were there it was summer & they had a great floral show in the lobby. Not sure what their theme will be at Thanksgiving. You can also check out the Venetian, the gondola's are quite cute. Go to MGM & check out the lion's den. Girl, you'll be busy! You'll see. There will be ton's of pics for you to take.
  17. I remember a few ROR brides saying that you get to review your pics the day after your wedding & I guess depending on how many you pick, you may be able to get the disc before you leave. If you do a search of ROR wedding reviews, you can look at the posts of the past ROR brides who used Michael. Some were able to get their discs before they left & some had them mailed home. In terms of the video, we got our DVD the day after the wedding. Since your wedding is on the 2nd & you're not leaving till the 10th, I'd think that you're ok & should be able to take your disc home. You can always email Michael & ask him what his turn around time is.
  18. Nice review Alyssa! Those pics are absolutely beautiful! Gotta love those sunsets! Hey, what did Kareem think about the BD book? Congrats again!
  19. Too cute! Love the candy buffet...you've got my mouth watering now! The bags with ur pics on it was a cute idea. The cake table & centerpieces were great! Ohh..sorry about the hives! Just make sure to take Benadryl with you to the wedding!

  21. Welcome to BDW & congrats on being a ROR bride. You will love it at ROR & you'll find so much info here!

When we got married at ROR, the fee included the legal documents & the officiant. It's funny though, because when you look at their website, it says that the legal documents & officiant is not included in the $350 fee. Just to be on the safe side, you should confirm this with your WC.

The $350 charge for the "free" wedding, does include the documents & officiants fee. You will not pay anything additional.
