  1. These threads should be helpful: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/54138/where-to-find-items-for-oot-bags-advil-pepto-wipes-sunscreen-etc http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/23357/single-dose-meds-for-oot-bags-good-vendor http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/57038/hangover-kit-question
  2. I agree with both ladies. We all know how important an rsvp date is but keep in mind that date is only important to you & it is still early. Unfortunately, I think it is pretty common for people to either not rsvp at all or not rsvp in a timely manner & this has happened with people that I know who got married at home so the same is to be expected with a DW. Don't let the lack of rsvp's deter you or cause you to change your plans for a DW. I also had lots of people tell me they would attend my DW when I was in the planning stages & then once I sent out invitations, those same people changed their mind & did not attend. But at the same time, I had people who I thought would not attend, surprise me and made the trip with us. Either way, people will book next year & probably up until the week before your wedding. & at& aadYou will have a great group & I can honestly say from my past experience that whether you have 2, 10, 20 or 30 you will have a great time.
  3. You can try Evita's. Many Jamaica brides have hosted events there & even had their reception there. Try doing a search on BDW & there may be some old reviews floating around. http://www.evitasjamaica.com/ Although I can't recommend any others, a search on google provided these options: http://www.caribbean.com/jsp/restaurant.jsp?currentDestination=34
  4. Here's the link from their site with menu's to Mammee Bay, Sir Richard & Manadaly: http://www.clubhotelriuochorios.com/all_inclusive/sample_menu.htm
  5. I tried to copy/paste it in the same box as my reply but it didin't work. Hopefully you can see that now.
  6. It should be at the very top of your screen, if you're facing your computer, its on the right hand side, upper right corner right next to the header of your page that says Best Destination Wedding. Does that help? BestDestinationWedding.com
  7. If you're looking for a BDW TA just click on the link at the top of the page that says "Contact a BDW Agent today". I'm sure someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
  8. This thread may be helpful: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/34061/size-of-safe-ror
  9. There are many, many reviews of Riu Ocho Rios on this forum. Just do a search for ROR or Riu Ocho Rios & you should come across some reviews & many threads which can answer all of your questions regarding your ceremony & plans. You can also click on the Resorts & Villas tab at the top of the screen & search for ROR. You are not required to put a deposit down or pay for anything up front. You will pay for everything on the day of or the day before your ceremony. You will most likely meet with the wedding coordinator when you arrive & thats when all of your plans will be discussed & you can make your payment. In terms of contacting the wedding coordinator, you usually don't hear from the coordinator until your wedding date is close. With your date being in Novemeber of 2011 it may take some time for you to get responses to your emails/phone as they are focusing on brides with dates that are much closer. But don't worry about that, you can get most of your questions/concerns answered here. This forum is a great resource so just make sure that you look around, search & once you become familiar with everything, you'll see that you are in the right place.
  10. Lastly, here are some existing threads which may help:  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/44188/grooms-hat  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/1058/post-groom-and-gm-attire
  11. Funny, after I posted my response, I saw this add on the side of my BDW screen: Â http://www.villagehatshop.com/hats_categories.html?gclid=CPmhrd6amaQCFZJl7Aod_mi5Dw Â
  12. I think there are plenty of BDW grooms who have worn hats for their ceremony. When my hubby & I were talking about what we were wearing he knew that he was wearing a hat because thats his style.  The most important thing is for your FI to be comfortable. Instead of looking for a hat that looks like it'll fit the ceremony per say, try looking for a hat that will compliment what he is wearing. KWIM? It doesn't have to be a straw hat. Have you gone to your local department stores to see what they have. Or just google "mens hats". I just did that & saw this site that has tons of different styles:  http://www.dadshats.com/index.html  Good luck!
  13. There have been a few threads posted in the past along the same lines where Sarah has stated that she's had problems with her email account. Maybe your emails aren't being delivered to her. Before you posted this thread, did you try to PM her?

I only had 2 bouquets & 2 bouts so it wasn't that hard to manage. I left everything packed in a box the way it was shipped & then stuffed the box with tissue paper. I then put that box inside a bag & brought it right on with me. It fit into the overhead bin just fine & I could've even given it to one of the stewards along with my dress since they hung that up for me. When I arrived at the hotel, they were'nt smashed or anything, they were just perfect. It's definitely doable. Â
  15. I have one sitting in my inbox right now for Free shipping & 25% off sitewide. It has an option to send to a friend, so if you give me your email addr, I'll forward it to you.
  16. Hi, there is an existing thread which discusses this topic. Please make sure that you do a search before posting new threads as it alleviates having duplicate threads. Â http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/29995/did-you-meet-your-fiance-online
  17. As you stated, there are tons of threads discussing ROR photography. The thread below has a link to ROR's photoshop/Michael. I know that it can be time consuming but it really is better to search existing threads so that we don't end up with repeat ROR threads covering the same issue.  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/43544/ror-photographers  I am also posting the link directly to Michael/photoshop, which contains the 2010 pricing list. You can always contact him directly regarding packages & pricing for 2011 if it is available. After the site loads, click on "Download" at the bottom of the screen & you will then find the pricing list.  http://photoshopjamaica.com/   Â
  18. I just did a search & there are tons of threads regarding this subject. Here are a few threads which should be helpful:  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/29765/guide-to-buying-artificial-silk-real-touch-natural-touch-flowers  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/59412/my-amazing-real-touch-flowers  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/54465/where-did-you-buy-your-fake-bouquet  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/48789/yey-my-real-touch-bouquets-arrived-today-pics  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/55313/who-will-be-using-real-touch-flowers  http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/59696/real-touch-vs-real-what-to-do http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/49557/real-touch-flower-brides-happy-with-your-choice Â

However, there are many vendors mentioned on BDW who provide excellent, quality bouquets. There is a thread around somewhere, where there are reviews for the vendors that have been used, along with lots of pictures. Â Once you find a vendor & place your order, most vendors send you a proof of the bouquet before it is shipped to you. Definitely make sure that you get a proof so that you don't end up disappointed when the bouquet arrives. Also, some vendors are booked well in advance & don't take orders past a certain date so you may have to place your order at least 6 months in advance. Â Â
  20. I used real touch for me & my MOH's bouquets & for DH's & his BM's bouts. I have absolutely no regrets at all & would go the same route if I had to do it over again. No one knew that they were fake unless I told them, the quality was great & they even smelled real! At the time, I was not impressed with the resorts florist & their pricing was a bit much so this made my decision easier in terms of going with real touch. Â I also love being able to look at my bouquet anytime, since I was able to bring it home. Right now its in a vase but I plan on putting it in a shadow box soon.

Hubby & I have sailed on both lines before but we both agree that RC is a step up from Carnival in all aspects that Andrea mentioned. At one time we also vowed that we would never sail Carnvial again but we will be going on Carnival Dream this December. We decided we wanted to try one of the newer, bigger ships & chose Dream. We'll probably do Oasis of the Seas next year just to compare that to Dream. Â Either way, whichever cruise line you chose, I'm sure that you will have fun. There are sooo many things to see & do that its hard not to have a great time. I think that once you go on your first cruise, you'll be hooked! Â
