  1. Those came out great!!!! I love the lingerie & the fishnets were a nice touch. He is definitely going to be thinking "HOT" when he see's those. I don't think "Momma" will be anywhere in his thinking!!!
  2. This sounds very interesting. I may be a combination of Quality time, Acts of Service and a little Physical touch. Chris is definitely Acts of Service. One of the things I absolutely love about him is the fact that he does sooo many things for me, even things he doesn't like to do, without 1 complaint. I think I'm definitely going to pick up a copy tomorrow! I see they even have a "men's edition". Thanks Morgan.
  3. That is a really nice, thoughtful gift. I would never have thought of doing that. It's a special lifelong keepsake to have.
  4. I think they look great! One question though, what do the key holders say? I can only read the top that says "I take you to carry my key", but I can't read the right side. The white print gets kinda lost in the rocks.
  5. Beautiful Leia! I was soo in love with my Casablanca too! Love the shoes & jewelry. They are a perfect touch.

Welcome to the forum Kaila & congrats on being a Jamaica bride. You will love ROR. We had the best time! Make sure to check out the Jamaica part of the forum. You'll find lots of reviews & pictures there of ROR. Happy planning!
  7. We took this picture & then used it for our thank you cards. Hubby wrote the "thank you" in the sand himself, with a stick that he just happened to find nearby & then our photographer took the picture. Funny though, there aren't any footprints showing in our picture & I'm not sure how we managed to not have any showing.
  8. Just to let you know, I ordered my dress in ivory as well but my flip flops were white. The color difference was not that noticeable at all. Actually, what really got me was the fact that the sample dress that I tried on in ivory was sooo dingy & dirty, that I was not prepared for how "white" the actual dress looked when I got it, even though it was really ivory. So you may want to keep that in mind. I cant find the ones that I ordered from Avon that had a little bling, but for those of you still looking for something, here are some that they do have. They are only $6.99 now. This is them in silver: http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.as...rep_delivery=1 This is them in white, gold & black: http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.as...rep_delivery=1
  9. That is a cute idea! I would've never thought of DIY flip flops. I just got mine from Avon! LOL Adding color sounds like a good idea. Maybe you can incorporate your wedding colors & buy diff color rhinestones! You know you'll have to post pics of the completed look!
  10. There are lots of brides here who had "legal days" prior to having their DW. If you really don't want them at your legal day and if you already told them the date that you guys set, is changing the legal date an option? Then you & FI can "elope" on another day and have that as your legal day and don't tell your parents that thats what you did. Maybe you can tell them that you changed your mind and simply keep that between you & FI. Or, simply explain to them as you did here....the legal day is just a formality but not what you are going to consider your wedding date. Your DW is what you consider your actual wedding & you don't want the legal day to take away from the experience of the DW. If these scenarios are not options & you don't want to hurt their feelings, although you said you don't want to do this, can you reconsider just giving in & letting them experience your legal day? Just let them know that you don't want any extra hoopla...your gonna go to city hall, get married, and then that's it, no additional celebration. Let them know that the real celebration will be at your actual DW in Cabo. Whatever you decide to do, I hope that it works out for you!

It was definitely easier & probably less expensive since shipping costs were not involved.
  12. Tara everything looks amazing! You did a great job with all of your DIY projects. That blue really pops & I love it. Also love your dress, hair inspiration, and those flowers. I really can't wait to see pics of how it all comes together. And yeah, the M&M's are too cute!
  13. I love it so far! I especially like the "with this ring" page. Great job. Oh, and be glad that hubby was fine with anything that you did. Mine was in on the entire process and had suggestions at every turn & it seemed like it took me forever to finish it!!! Let me know if you need any coupon codes when you decide to print it. I used Publisher and loved the outcome.
  14. I got mine from here: Kensington Classics: Heart Shaped Unity Sand Ceremony Set; It's on sale for $49, but $39 is a better price! Just compare & take into account the engraving & shipping/handling!

ANy ideas or has anyone had any experience with this? Chandlyn controls the CD player herself-well at least she did at my wedding. Just have all of the songs that you are using on 1 CD, in the order that you want them & she will play the songs accordingly.
  16. Boy, oh boy, I know I'm in the minority here, but, I am a diehard Mets fan. I grew up loving the Mets & Yankees but since I used to live right across the street from Shea Stadium my heart belongs to the Mets. That being said, since we've had back to back meltdowns, 2 years in a row I absolutely AM NOT, rooting for the Phillies! I do like the thought of Torre & Manny going all the way as it does make a good story since the Yankees cut Joe loose & Manny said goodbye to Boston & an LA/BOSTON series would definitely be interesting. That being said, right now, I'd love to see LA win it all. If the Phillies win I think I'll have to do something drastic
  17. Like everyone has said, this is a bit much. But you know what I'd do? The evil me says to send her this thread, with everyone's reactions so she could see how much of an a$$ she is!!! For everyone here to react the same way shows you that she is a bit off her rocker & not normal! Okay, now back to the nice me, really, like others said, ignore her. Right now you're probably reacting exactly like she wanted you to. Just notify security & your WC. If you have a picture of her, print it out & give it to them so that they know who to look out for. Other than that, I wouldn't give her any more thought & I wouldn't email her or call her again. With every email & every phone call, she's thinking that she's got you all crazy, which again, is probably what she wants! But, while you're there, if she even looks like she's coming your way, grab your girls & be ready to do what you gotta do!!! Hang in there & forget about her!
  18. We had a layer with strawberry filling & a layer with chocolate. They were both delicious. I think hubby liked the strawberry better though!
  19. They are all really cute!! But I think I like #1 the best! My second choice would be the white ones!
  20. Really sorry to hear this...I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything will turn out well!
  21. You did a great job with EVERYTHING!!! And 91 guests...wow...they will love it all!
  22. Welcome back & Congrats Mrs!!! Your pics are really beautiful. The colors are great. Love the BM dresses & the touch of blue with the flowers in their hair. And you & hubby looked wonderful together. And those TTD pics...hot! Glad that you had a great time despite a few mishaps.
  23. Have a wonderful time Yari! Can't wait for your return.
  24. I forgot that I had this, but here's a link to ROR where they had their menu's posted for Mammee Bay, Sir Richard & Mandalay: Jamaica All Inclusive and Caribbean Cuisine at Riu Ocho Rios Hotel
