  1. Awww....do you see how they're reacting to the barking in the background Do you think thats their mother that they hear? Oh ok, here's the mother. This is the first time I've seen her. So I guess thats why they were barking & whining...they were hungry!
  2. There are lots of threads that talk about traveling with your wedding dress: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t25755 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31927 I flew on Delta. A stewardess took my dress & hung it in a closet. Once I got to ROR, I just hung it in the closet. When I looked at it, it was still perfect, no need for steaming. This was mainly because my dress was stuffed & in a garment bag. After the wedding, I put the dress back in its bag & that was that. As of today, its in DH's closet! You'll be fine getting your dress to Jamaica. When you pick it up, make sure that its stuffed with tissue paper & maybe cardboard, that way it maintains its shape. Most stewardess' are pretty nice & if you're not allowed to hang your dress in one of the closets, you'll probably be able to lay it flat in one of the overhead bins.

How about I ran to work this morning & couldnt wait to put my stuff down & turn on the computer. I had my coworkers watching this ALL day!!! Then I left work, got off the train & called my girlfriend who was still at work, to tell me what they were doing!! I hated that I had to miss 30 minutes of them on my commute! Morgan, I too totally blame you for my new addiction. I was telling my coworkers that the day I go to the site & its officially down cuz all of the puppies have homes, I think I will DIE!!!

I just can't imagine her singing at all. On the show she sounded horrible yet she says she wasn't portrayed in the most positive light! Um, we all heard her & it wasn't good so how was she portrayed wrong? Hell, even Dallas sounded like he thought she was nuts wanting to pursue a singing career. He called her & told her everything she had to do in order to get to where she needed to be and she didn't seem to take too kindly to his suggestions. So I'm reallllly trying to figure out how she went from sounded terrible to having a single, produced by him!! But you're right, someone had to owe her a huge favor, but then, do you think Dallas would really attach his name to her songs if she wasn't somewhat good I mean thats his reputation on the line.
  6. And I thought I was the only one addicted!! LOL... I love the show too & I've always watched the OC one too. NEVER liked the NY wives at all. This season was definitely drama filled. I kept trying to figure out who told Kim about the song NeNe made up. I knew it wasn't Sheree cuz she wasnt in the limo. So I figured it was Lisa, but she denies it. I can't wait till next week to see the reunion episode. Christine...I thought I was the only one trying to figure out why DeShawn talks like that! It's like she has those reversible braces that are on the inside of her teeth or something. But I do love her! And Kim's hair!!!! What the hell is that Oh, here's an interview with Kim from Essence. She acknowledges that Big Poppa was married & in the midst of a divorce. They have broken up since the show & HER FIRST SINGLE IS COMING OUT SOON!!! Essence.com - Kim Zolciak: Keeping It ?Real? Here are some other interviews with the other cast members: Essence.com - Lisa Wu Hartwell: The Hyper Worker Bee Essence.com - Lisa Wu Hartwell: ?I Never Threatened to Kill Kim? I'm not sure if this is a new policy but we did not need 4 witnesses, only 2. You may want to send Chandlyn an email to confirm this with directly with her.

But if you can find the "Apple Care" warranty, you buy it in a little box (at least here in Canada anyway) and it even covers the apple phone support, so you can call apple whenever you have a problem and talk to them for free (or pay by the call without it). Not 100% sure if this is still available as I worked at The Source about a year ago, but it was much better than the store-offered warranty, plus it was directly through Apple, no middle man I've seen the warranty cards in the boxes at Apple. So if I buy my Ipod from someplace other than Apple, can I just then go into Apple & buy the warranty in the box & get full coverage on it?
  12. Ladies thank you so much for your replies! I guess DH is right in that I'm getting these warranties for nothing, especially when you consider that not one thing has happened to anything that I've bought that would require me using the warranty to get something repaired! When I think about how much $ I've spent in the past on ext warranty's, I could just cringe! Oh well when I tell him how many of you agreed with him he's soooo gonna say "I told you so" LOL I did just buy a laptop & got an extended warranty for that, just in case!!! It seemed like I really needed it since its something that I use all the time! I also think I'll definitely get one for the new Ipod since those are really expensive to fix.
  13. Jenny this is tooo cute!!! This is definitely a must have!!! Great find!

  15. OMG...they are sooo cute! The one with the yellow collar seems a little rambunctious! Oh now they're all fighting!!! How am I gonna sleep tonight?? Oh the lady's standing up! They're all licking at her feet....awww....too darn cute! Oh oh, someone's had an accident! Ok, maybe not...who moved the pad on the floor? Look at them wondering where the lady went!! Now they're whining....gosh, I can't take it!!!
  16. You are definitely not alone on this. Living together for the 1st time is tough! We never lived together either & moving in with DH has been an adjustment. I now say to myself that I wish we had lived together before getting married so at least I would've known what to expect. I thought that being together for the last 10 years meant that I totally knew him & his habits but ofcourse I find that I didn't & I've learned some new things about him along the way! And I totally hear ya about the redecorating. I used to want to strangle him when I would go look for something & realize he didn't have it. Like a whisk, or a plunger, or an ice cream scooper. I'd be like who the heck doesn't have a whisk Then I'd have to remind myself that there were lots of things he wouldnt have cuz he never needed them!! Talk about tough!! Everytime I want to run outta the house & never come back, I remind myself that I probably get on his nerves just as much as he gets on mine! Then I laugh & just try to get over it! (emphasis on "try"). Anyway, you'll be fine. As the other ladies have said compromise & communication are key and you really have to pick your battles.
  17. You were beautiful. Love the dress/hair/bouquet/bm dresses! The backdrop was just gorgeous!
  18. So I've been living without an Ipod now for a few months cuz mine died & the cost of fixing it was equal to me buying a new one . Ofcourse the Apple salesman said that had I had a warranty I'd be covered. Needless to say, I didnt have one. Now, I'm the type who ALWAYS buy's the extended warranties offered by stores when you purchase electronics. DH absolutely hates that I do that & feels that its a waste of money. He even showed me an article where an electronics guru said that most store-offered extended warranties are a waste of $ because in most cases nothing goes wrong with a product, especially in the first 2 years that you have it. And as is the case with me, I'll buy the ext warranty for maybe 2 years & once that time is up I usually don't renew it. So ofcourse, by the time something does go wrong with it, as in the case of my Ipod, the warranty is up because I didn't re-extend the warranty....sigh.... So here I am thinking about extended warranties & how useful/valuable they are & trying to figure out if they are really worth it. I'm going to buy another Ipod soon & am trying to figure out if I'm gonna get the extended warranty (which I probably will cuz thats just how I am). For some reason, I can't seem to buy something & resist the urge to say "NO" when the salesperson asks if I want the extnd warranty. But maybe I need to just rethink this. This is where you come in! LOL My question to you is do you ever get an extended warranty? If you do, do you keep renewing the warranty once its up? If you don't, why don't you?
  19. I don't think its silly at all especially since you said your familly loves to dance. We had about 30 people in our group & we rented the disco and had a DJ from 9pm to 11pm & it was well worth it. Our guests really enjoyed having our own time before the disco opened up to the public.

I know it all seems like alot of info but you'll get the hang of it & everything will fall into place. Just make a list of things you need to do & go down the list. So you said you're struggling with flowers right now. Decide if you want to go with the resort florist and compare that to going with an outside vendor if thats an option for you. Then, move on to photography, then your reception, etc. I found it easier to manage when I made a list & then worked from that trying to focus on one thing at a time. The fact that you're here on BDW definitely gives you an advantage cuz there's so much info.
  21. Ohhhh Abbie thanks for posting this!!! I soooo need a new Ipod so I'm defintiely hoping I can find one "on sale" on Black Friday! Thanks alot!

Here's one that is fairly recent: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31416 Also to answer your question, yes, you have to provide your own sand. You can buy sand in any color from a craft store, or from online vendors. Some people also chose to use sand from the beach at their destination. Also, ROR does not charge you for doing a sand ceremony. You just have to let Chandlyn know that this is something that you want to do.
  23. Welcome to BDW Kathy! You will love ROR! Check out the Jamaica section of the forum & you'll find lots of reviews/pictures from past ROR brides and helpful info from ROR brides to be! Happy planning.
  24. Congrats & welcome back!!! Can't wait for the pics & detailed review.
  25. Have a wonderful trip & an even better wedding day! Can't wait to you return with pics & your review....and as a MRS!
