  1. It's Sarah! Here are some thread with her links & website or you can PM her: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14940 http://www.sproulliedesigns.webs.com/ http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t20824-3
  2. I had lots of threads bookmarked with pre-travel brochures. Here are some of them with templates attached: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14888 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t32432 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29060 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t32169 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31173 Hope this helps you out!
  3. Please, no barfing! LOL You'll be fine! I can only imagine how excited you are as you countdown the days. I didn't bring my own champagne glasses. As you said, I had enough to worry about with the sand ceremony kit, and all of my other wedding stuff! You'll probably be good & not need your dress steamed. Just make sure you hang it up as soon as you get there. I believe there is a fee but remember, Chandlyn takes it off of the resort. They don't actually have that service at ROR. Anyway here's to calm & cool days ahead before you take off for your big day!
  4. As you can see, you're not alone. Plenty of us, if not all of us, have been through the exact same thing. Just to show you that I too was in your boat, I went & found the thread that I posted back in January of 2008, 3 months before my wedding. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13316 And keep in mind, this was BEFORE the economy tanked! I had given my guests plenty of advanced notice, but once it came time to book thats when I really knew who was in & who was out! Here are some other threads that I found where other BDW brides are experiencing the same things: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34549 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31301 The one thing that I can tell you is please don't worry that you won't have a large group in JA. You will get over it and on your wedding day, you won't be thinking of those who did not make it or about having a group of 10 as opposed to a group of 30. All that you will be focused on is you & your FI and those family & friends who did travel with you! Those will be the memories that you treasure the most! So hang in there!
  5. Last night's episode was good. I don't know how much more of it I can take cuz all thru the episode my heart was racing waiting to see what was coming next! In terms of the mole, I think its the other agent, Sean. There's something about him that I don't like. He seems sneaky or something! LOL But I'm sure we'll be surprised as to who it is when they are revealed. I was also surprised to see that Tony has a boss. I thought he was working for himself.
  6. I am sooo sorry to hear that this happened to you! I'm glad that both of you are okay & that no one was hurt. In the end, thats what really matters the most!!! I think that you should take a few days & then figure out what you want to do in terms of getting another ring.

You know what, I don't think Riu offers the free price but they do charge you for half I think I was so curious to see what the actual rates were, that I went to their website & did this. Went to Riu's site, picked ROR with dates of 5/14/09 to 5/18/09, 5 days/4 nights. I put in 2 adults & 1 child under age 2. These were the rates: INFORMATION ON YOUR STAY Check in: 5/14/09 Check out: 5/18/09 Adults: 2Baby/s: 1 BREAKDOWN ROOM/RATES Your stay in: All inclusive 1 Double standard, bathroom, partial sea view, balcony or terrace 5/14/09 -5/18/09 4 Night/s x 2 Adults x 155.00 USD = 1,240.00 USD 5/14/09 -5/18/09 4 Night/s x 1 Baby x 0.00 USD = 0.00 USD Total cost = 1,240.00 USD I then did the same thing, using the same dates & room type, with 2 adults & 1 child age 2. hese were those rates, which you will see the charge for that child is $77.50 per night: INFORMATION ON YOUR STAY Check in: 5/14/09 Check out: 5/18/09 Adults: 2Children: 1 BREAKDOWN ROOM/RATES Your stay in: All inclusive 1 Double standard, bathroom, partial sea view, balcony or terrace 5/14/09 -5/18/09 4 Night/s x 2 Adults x 155.00 USD = 1,240.00 USD 5/14/09 -5/18/09 4 Night/s x 1 Children (2 years) x 77.50 USD = 310.00 USD Total cost = 1,550.00 USD Lastly, just to be thorough, I changed the age of the child to 10 years old, and I got the same rate of $77.50 per night: INFORMATION ON YOUR STAY Check in: 5/14/09 Night/s: 4 Check out: 5/18/09 Adults: 2 Children: 1 BREAKDOWN ROOM/RATES Rooms Price of your stay Your stay in: All inclusive 1 Double standard, bathroom, partial sea view, balcony or terrace 5/14/09 -5/18/09 4 Night/s x 2 Adults x 155.00 USD = 1,240.00 USD 5/14/09 -5/18/09 4 Night/s x 1 Children (10 years ) x 77.50 USD = 310.00 USD Total cost = 1,550.00 USD So going by their site, any child 2 to 12, should pay $77.50 per night. A child over 12 is considered an adult & would pay the adult rate. Also, according to their site, and to what I was told for my wedding, the maximum capacity per room is 3. The website would only allow me to choose a total of 3 in one room. I don't know how that works if you're more than a family of 3.
  8. In my opinion, to be on the safe side, you really should wait until the 2010 schedule comes out to absolutely know that your date is available. I know that you want to send out your STD's as soon as possible, but to be on the safe side, I'd definitely wait to get firm confirmation from the resort. You don't want to spend money ordering & sending out STD's only to find out that the date that you set isn't available, then to have to send them out again, with the correct info? KWIM? Since your date is more than a year out, waiting till Feb/March to send them out, still gives your guests plenty of time to plan accordingly. Just keep checking in with the wedding sales office in Mexico, as to when the schedule comes out & as soon as it does, book your date!!! If it helps to ease your mind, lots of BDW brides who were planning a year to 2 ahead, had to go thru the same process & wait for the schedules. So its something that you're not alone in.

Yeah, my dress was a tad longer than was anticipated since I wore my actual reception shoes for my fittings. But I figured it walking wouldn't be too bad since the sandals had a wedge heel too. If you really have your heart set on the wedge's then bring them & your chandelier sandals & just make sure you give the wedges a test run. Try to bring some kind of long sun dress too so that you get the complete feel of walking with the wedges & a long dress. Maybe you'll find that its not too hard & you'll be able to go for it! I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed for you!

  11. I'm obsessed with 24 & Keifer/Jack! LOL I was annoyed when they had the 2 hour premiere that came on in December although the season wasn't starting till January. I felt like it was a big tease!!! I absolutely can't wait till 8pm tonight!!!! And I'm the same way, while its on, I do not want to be disturbed! No phone calls, especially to people who don't watch it, no talking except during commercials, even to DH! LOL The only phone calls I take or make is to my mom if we happen to have questions or comments. I can't wait to see what happens this season. The big shocker for me was Tony being involved as a bad guy! And I'm glad that Chloe is still around. I really like her character.
  12. Beautiful pics! Love the BM dresses. The pink was nice. Flowers were pretty too! Congrats again!
  13. If I remember correctly, children 1 years old & under are free, so you do have to pay for the 2 year old. At the time of our wedding the rate for my 5 year old FG was about $88 dollars per night.

You may get lucky & it could take less. We got married in April & I think I received it in late July. And yes, you do need your offical license to go to the SS office. You will take home your temporary license when you leave JA, but you need the official one to do name changes for your SS card & drivers license.
  15. Happy wedding day! Hope you're having the time of your life!
  16. You're such a dedicated BDW member, checking in during your wedding week! Thanks for the update & I really can't wait to see your pics. Everything sounds like it was amazing! Happy honeymooning!

  25. We didn't have one either & we are fine with that too. Everyone kept saying that we should have something for people that couldn't attend the DW & they kept asking us when were we having one & we just kept saying "soon". But it never materialized. To be honest, I don't think we had the energy. The last thing we wanted to do after planning the wedding, was to come home & plan something else. We thought about keeping it simple & having a celebration party but that thought still required planning & money which we just didn't have.
