  2. I found this info from an old thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t17224
  3. No one had any problems hearing us at all. As far as the video, DH was wired with a mic so all of the sound was picked up on our video. You should definitely check with your photographer/videographer to make sure that they will wire you or DH. From what I've seen posted here, most resorts will provide you with a mic set up but it may come at an extra cost.
  4. Absolutely hot!!! I love every shot & Brandi did a great job! FI will love them for sure.
  5. Congratulations! Everything looks great! Your dress is amazing. Love the cover of your BD album & your invitations. The welcome bag you used was also very cute! A great alternative to the canvas bag. I also used Eve's Addiction & ordered the starfish necklace for a few of my honorary BM's.
  6. Thats very pretty!! No one would ever know that it cost $20 bucks. Great deal.
  7. Welcome to BDW Jen! We just visited Antigua on our Caribbean cruise & we loved it there! We are definitely going back for a longer vacation! Congratulations & Happy planning!

Although I won't be taking my actual dress, its good to know that I'm not the only one thinking of doing this. I really can't wait to go back to ROR to do it. I guess I'll call it my post wedding TTD session!

Ok, you are killing me with your creativity Monique. I'm seriously going to have to ban myself from BDW or something. I can't take seeing all the fabulous/cute ideas that you ladies come up with AFTER MY WEDDING!! LOL Not that these things weren't around when I was planning but geez...I mean really, its only been 1 year & you all are making me want to relive my wedding just so I can do these DIY projects that I never got around too. You think I can get a Very Sexy Past Bride Tank? LOL Seriously, good work!
  10. I'm a past bride who didn't do either of these when I should have. I didn't do BD pics BEFORE my wedding & didn't do a TTD session either, but will have both of these things done post-wedding! I just did my BD pics & plan to give those to DH for our anniversary. We had always planned on going back to ROR for our 1 year anniversary. Well we went on a cruise for our actual anniversary but we're going back to ROR with a group of family & friends in June. So it will be there that I will give him the BD album. While I wouldn't say I totally regret not having a TTD session, I've always thought about it so I talked him into potentially getting TTD pics done in June as well. And while I won't be trashing "the dress" I can still get something that will do just as well & I like the idea of having sexy beach pics with just the 2 of us. So all of this is to say that you don't necessarily have to do all of this before your wedding. You have the option of doing some things later, especially if you plan on taking anniversary trips or just vacations in general. KWIM?
  11. Finally found it...the instructions are here... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t33589 Hope this helps you.

Let me see if I can find one. Here's one that I had but I'm not sure if the instructions are in this one: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34851 I'll see what else I can find for you.

I had my reception shoes on for my alterations & wanted to go barefoot for the ceremony on the beach. I just let her do the alterations with the shoes anyway. While I wound up wearing fairly low wedge flip flops for the ceremony, I so wish I would've just gone barefoot. I felt so clumbsy walking in the sand with those wedge flip flops. And the wedge wasn't even that high. So if you really want to be barefoot, just go for it. Like you said, see how it is when you go for your next fitting. I just don't think it'll be a problem at all. Also, if you do opt for the wedge flip flops on the day of your wedding, make sure you practice walking in the sand with them at least the day before so you know what to expect! And please, don't remind me about the price of alterations! Its just crazy!
  14. Those are just too cute Yamille! I may have to order these for my guests for our return trip to Jamaica!!! DH is gonna really kill me! 15. I think we're all in the same boat...definitely excited to get our pictures but the wait is just pure agony! LOL Kamila did say that she's doing proofs & albums in the order of wedding dates. As my session was the end of March, I haven't received any proofs either. And being that Shannon's group had their session before mine, I'm sure that I'm not close in getting anything soon. And how many ladies did she have in that session a few days ago? 20 in 4 days? She's got to be in major catch-up mode! For those of you who have upcoming weddings & its been at least 2 weeks, why not just send her a simple email confirming that she'll have everything ready for you by the date that you need them. I know its hard not to contact her & I have been thinking about it too but since I don't need mine until the end of May, I'm just trying to be patient although its soooooo hard!
  16. While I didn't bring centerpieces, I had no problems with customs & bringing any of my wedding stuff. When they asked why we were visiting Jamaica, we told them we were getting married, which also explained why we had so much luggage. They said congratulations & sent us on our way.
  17. Very, veryyyyyyy niceeee & hot!!! Your FI will definitely love those! I am loving the pic with the hat!
  18. The Excellence resort sounds amazing! Thanks for posting the info!
  19. Love the pics! You were a beautiful bride & your dress was amazing. Riding the luggage rack to your ceremony site will definitely be a great memory! Congratulations!
  20. Congratulations! Your pictures are beautiful. Your hair, dress, colors, flowers, everything was amazing! And a reception by the garden gazebo!?! I'm sure you're going to start another trend since no one had ever been given that option. Anyway, welcome back & thanks for sharing!
  21. We had 2 DJ's, one who was for the private reception & then another one came when the disco opened to the public. The first one did an okay job & played traditional wedding songs & anything we requested if he had it but the 2nd one was great! I think he appealed more to the general crowd that came to "party". If there are specific songs that you would like to hear, I strongly suggest that you just bring them with you since there's no telling what kind of DJ you will get.

Can you have a small church wedding at home even if its just with your parents where you can have a Catholic ceremony which I guess can be considered your "legal day", then have your "real" DW in Jamaica as you want. I know its a tough spot to be in & easier said than done & no one wants to exclude or upset their parents, but I would definitely go with what you want to do. If you & your FI truly want a DW then go for it as you are the ones who have to really be happy with the final decision.
