  1. While planning my DW I attend the Caribbean Bridal Expo in San Juan. I collected brochures from all PR vendors however I seemed to have misplaced most of them. I mostly have photographers and videographers but it can give any PR brides a place to start. If you want to know about the vendors I personally used, please read my review. Vendor Info obtained at Caribbean Bridal Expo in San Juan.doc
  2. El Morro has a chapel that has about 10 pews. It is very cute with a little alter though the back wall has some mildweing which make it more authentic! here is a pic I took of the chapel in 2008.
  3. Bring lots of bobby pins, it almost looks like a low ponytail with the strands loosely pinned up. Your length should be just right now, how much time do you have to grow it out more?
  4. I found another box of wedding items as I was unpacking at my not so new-new apartment! Pm me if you are interested in anything. Shipping will depend on item, I try to have exact cost for shipping. I also have about 40small sanddollars about an 1"-1 1/2" wide I think. All for $10. Drew's famous Steel Drums of the Islands CD, new never opened. Has 16 songs-$12 The shells also have blue and white glass stones mixed in, not sure of the weight but it is very heavy. I used these for candles at my AHR. I also have two 10.5 oz bags of shells I never used. All 3 bags shells for $7 Large tote bags in a nylon type material. $3 each Two canvas bags-$1 each The Body Shop best of bag. Includes Mini Divide and Multiply Mascara(awesome), Total Energy Body Gel and Body Wash, Vitamin E face lotion, and a mini Mango Body Butter. The bag is a deep brown canvas, much bigger than it looks and has pockets on the inside for small items and brushes. I have four of these left for bridesmaids, or mother gifts. $10 each leatherette red luggage tags from Creating Keepsakes $2 each

Maybe a hotel that offers beach weddings? We'd like to keep the ceremony simple and inexpensive (under $500). Any recommendations? Several hotels are located on beaches though in PR there are no private beaches so you may have people milling about and you may not find any cute arbors, gazebos, etc. The San Juan Water club was inexpensive if I remember correctly. El San Juan has a neat gate looking out on the beach but is right off the pool area. Maybe you can get a permit?(for an arbor or something) and hire a judge to do the ceremony. In the Condado area there are several hotels really close to the beach that would be great for dinner/reception.
  7. Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions on the templates. Many of the supplies can be found at Michael's or AC Moore.
  8. Welcome to the forum Denise!
  9. You get 10% off a medium refill when you use your Timmy Ho travel mug, i'd be stoked to get another mug...or a bottle of Labatts!
  10. Late to the thread, do you still need more Shelley? There are a few Joann's in Rochester.
  11. Ms. Sunshine, I don't know if this will be a barrier but when DH and I first started planning our PR wedding we also looked at marrying at Catedral San Juan Bautiste however both parties needed to be Catholic and I was not. I did not want to convert so we ruled it out. This may have changed though, it's always worth a look! I also found El Convento's fees very comprable to other top rated hotels and they were ALWAYS prompt and courteous unlike some other facilities.

I'll take any recommendations I can get! (Hey Jennifer/MsSunshine!!! It's Shellie!) The Normandy and Marriot are next to the ports. Old San Juan is a very small area though so you would mmost likely be safe with any of the other hotels.

I want my guests to be able to experience San Juan & other parts of the island. Thanks for any feedback!!! The only villas that I know about, are the ones at Villa Sevilla. I have no idea if they are any good, I haven't booked anything with them (but I am thinking about it for our honeymoon) Here is their website: Welcome to Villa Sevilla Guest House, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico Here is their tripadvisor page: Welcome to Villa Sevilla Guest House, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico As for other Inns in San Juan, I have heard good things about The Gallery Inn and The Coqui Inn. There are of course the more typical cheaper options like Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson. I would really recommend you by the Frommer's Guide to Puerto Rico-- they have really great advice and recommendations for where to stay in PR that fits ALL budgets. Look in the Condado area. Its just outside of San Juan and much cheaper. I love At Windchimes Inn for the price, service, and location. They also have a sister hotel that is about a year old called Acacia Inn. The Gallery Inn is way too expensive and difficult to deal with-see my review for details.
  14. There are a few on the forum also, Lisa is one of them I think. I loved the individual I initially worked with but hated the company/replacement planner I had through WedAffair.
  15. Welcome to the forum! There are so many resources here.
  16. We are cutting back this year so my DH asked what was my must have gift? I have no idea, I don't have a must have. What are you ladies hoping Santa brings you?
