  3. I'm so sad. I checked our target and a couple others in surrounding areas and no one had these stocked! Dang - I was soooo excited :-(

  5. I'm working on a passport replica to send to my guests a couple of weeks before the big day with little last minute info and I haven't seen this template on here anywhere so I thought I'd share. I did the whole thing in publisher and can't figure out how to attach a publisher file. So here's a picture of what I have so far. PM me and I'll e-mail you the actual file. EDIT - See post #8 for this template in powerpoint.
  6. I found really cute little coach wristlets at an outlet for $39. Thought it would be functional for going out to the bars instead of lugging a whole purse, and come on - who doesn't love coach!

  8. So i bought colored cardstock for my diy invitations. I wanted to make them really simple and print everything on the cardstock in white. It's not working. After a little research I've come to the conclusion that you can't print in white ink. Is that possible? All of the articles I've read say that the ink is too transparent to cover a color. There has to be a way, right?
  9. you guys are the best! In my heart, I knew I wanted Dreams because that was the first resort i looked into...I just didn't think I should settle on the first place I saw so anyway - just booked Dreams...Nov 9, 2008...yay!!!!!!!!!!
  10. don't know if this'll help, but i've read that the rule of thumb is 80% of the people you invite will actually be able to make it
  11. Anyone ever used smugmug.com? It seems like it has everything everyone wants (besides not being free - I think it's about $30ish/year). From what I've read, you can create an account and give out your login and password so that others can upload to your gallery. You also get your own URL, so you can e-mail your link. You have the option of making your galleries password protected, invitation only, or public. You can order prints directly from the site or you can download the original high resolution photos from your photo gallery. And you get to customize your gallery with cute backgrounds. They let you have a free 14 day trial if anyone is interested.
  12. I'm not sure if i know what I'm talking about, but I think it looks like the printer settings are incorrect. You have to set the paper size on the word processor program (which I think you did) as well as the printer. When you go to print, select properties and somewhere the setting will say what type and size of paper you are printing on. The default will most likely be 8.5 x 11, so you'll need to change that to your custom size. Good luck
  13. I never thought I was this picky until I started planning this wedding! I’ve spent the past week (at work, shhh) researching every resort in the Cancun/RM area and comparing them to a few aspects I want my wedding to have…easy right? Wrong! Is it possible that there is not a single hotel in Mexico that meets my standards? I know that I am not that much of a pain in the a**! I’m hoping there are some holes in my research. When I turn to my family and friends for advice they don’t see anything wrong with any of the hotels, so now I’m turning to you guys – the experts. Here are my musts…MUST -be all-inclusive -allow children -be on the beach -not be one of the mega hotels where you have to take a golf cart around -be reasonably priced (preferably under $250/night in November) -not be more than 45 minutes from the airport Here’s what I really, really want it to have -several (4 or more) different restaurants (preferably no reservations required) -good nightlife at the hotel…preferably a couple different bars with one that stays open into the night...maybe even a sports bar! -within walking distance (or at least a really short cab ride) of shopping and other things to do -a great pool with a swim up bar -good food -fun staff -nice rooms -golf nearby As far as the wedding goes…I’d like to have the ceremony outside maybe on the beach followed by a private reception for about 40 guests with dinner and dancing. In my opinion, you’re going to spend your days laying out, drinking, and eating, with a little shopping thrown into the mix. And your nights partying and drinking more…so those are all of the things I want to be great. Is this really too much to ask or does a place like this exist?
  14. Anybody find a site where you can do cheap personalized koozies without a minimum order? I've found a million sites with personalized can koozies but you have to order 100 and I'm only going to need about 20!
  15. So, for those of you who are having an at home reception...how are you doing it? Do you have it the weekend directly following your dw? do you have a sit down dinner? do you wear your wedding dress? do the bridesmaids wear their dresses? do you do a first dance? do you do your father-daughter dance? I'm so lost...who knew making decisions could be this challenging!
  16. One good thing about dreams is that with the wedding package you do get a cocktail hour and reception for up to 20 people, so as far as paying for a reception in Cancun, you might only have to cover 20 meals.
  17. I was told the same thing about Dreams Cancun...white covers included...pay extra for colored and ribbons
