  1. Just an fyi on the double sided tape - there are two kinds. One is picture safe (ie, won't hold very well) So make sure you don't end up buying that one.
  2. I was thinking about a nice pair of sunglasses and maybe get some cubans once we get down there.
  3. you can also create your own word searches at Kokolikoko.com: sudoku, maze games and word search puzzles
  4. What kind of box or bag did you use to put flower petals in for people to throw when you walk down the aisle. I've seen cute pictures of people using paper cones, but how did you keep them upright? and do you put one on every seat or just on the aisle seats? I found a really cute saying to use whenever i figure the container out... To toss in the air and sprinkle around To shower the couple so that joy will abound When Trish and Matt exit as a pair Please joyously toss your petals high in the air
  5. I found one post on this but it's from about a year ago. For those of you that had sparklers at your wedding, how did you organize it? I was thinking about walking under them when we exited or maybe have everybody light them during our first dance. I'm trying to come up with a cute little saying or rhyme to attach to the sparklers to explain to my guests when to light them. Any ideas?

  8. Here's what I'm trying to figure out...if you do the djing yourself and have to pay $180/hour for the equipment...for a 4 hour reception, that's over $700. If they DJ is $750, why not just use the DJ? Or, does Dreams still make you rent their equipment when using a DJ?
  9. what about using maracas? Oriental trading has them for about $1 a piece. Or they have blank ones that you could customize (24 for $9.95) Your cute saying would still work!
  10. Anybody making those "tears of joy" tissue packets for the wedding day? what kind of packaging are you using? I read that someone got translucent envelopes off oriental trading but I can't seem to find them.
  11. Can't help with the DJ, but here's a template for the boarding pass boarding%20pass%20template[1].doc
  12. Congrats and happy planning!!!!
  13. Does anyone remember what it cost to have your hair and makeup done at the spa? Just trying to get a realistic picture of my budget and this is one of the things I'm up in the air about. Was thinking about covering the cost for my bridesmaids
  14. I'm ordering these for my bridesmaids (the square ones) but I think you can only get an initial monogrammed. She might be able to do a logo if you ask. Luggage Tags
  15. Yay! I finally figured out how to post an attachment. Here's the passport in a powerpoint format. The first slide is to be double sided with the second slide. The third slide is like the inside of the cover page. I printed everything on a light blue paper and trimmed it to 3.5 x 5 folded. passport.ppt
  16. Hmmmm...probably gonna be hard to help without seeing it. I'll PM you and if you want to e-mail it to me I'll take a look and see if I can help.
  17. That's exactly what we're doing. Our wedding in Novemeber and our AHR is February because it gives the people that are coming to Mexico and the AHR time to recover. Also, I really want time to get my pictures back and put together some sort of video to show at the AHR.
  18. I just went to a wedding where the couple did a ring warming. At the very beginning of the ceremony the minister took the couple's rings and handed them to the guests and asked everyone to say a little silent blessing for the couple and then pass the rings on. The guests kept passing it on during all of the reading etc and they finished just as it was time to say the vows. Of course it would only work with a smaller guest attendance. The one I went to, she had about 90 guests and it worked.

  20. So I want to make my own seal for my invitation envelope. I'm looking for sticker paper with precut circles. I found something at staples that is a whole sheet of sticker paper but it would be such a pain to cut out all of the circles. Has anybody seen anything that's precut?

  22. Do any of the restaurants enforce a dress code? I want to make sure that the men guests know if they need to pack slacks.
