  1. As was I - I just cannot imagine planning a funeral and burying the person you thought was your daughter.. I got a chill when Matt Lauwers was asking her how she thought about visiting the cemetery where she "was buried" and listening to her funeral.. crazy!
  2. Did you do a search? There are lots of threads on AHRs - At home receptions..
  3. I finally figured out how to do the collage so this is my first official month where I complied with the theme! Woo hoo
  4. MissyR is not a new Paradisus Bride - I just figured that I didn't want to go by my full name anymore and all my relatives call me Miss, Miss Melissa or Missy..

Welcome to the forum and happy planning!
  6. Kelly I know you are from the GTA also - mind me asking which Kennela you guys use? We use Redwood out in Milton area but are always looking for something closer to the city when we are heading East...
  7. The canvas bag is probably more practical ... BUT I love the straw one - to me it's much more beachy!
  8. Avoid the middle of the day - we are getting married around 3:30 in November (when the sun sets at 5:00 - 5:30) and I stil think it's going to be really warm!
  9. You are too cute Becks! The only reason we would think about it is if there was something we wanted that wasn't flower related... I looked at the packages Perla provided originally and it says that centrepieces start at $60 - well worth it for me not to have to worry about it! Have you girls decided what you are doing for centrepieces?
  10. I donated some points to you! I know how valuable the attachments can be - enjoy!

    Hello!

    Welcome fellow Canadian!
  12. Welcome! What a wonderful mother you are to help your daughter plan her wedding - there are lots of great ideas on here!
  13. We bought a one year subscription to the weddingwindow.com for $80 and they have an online RSVP option built into our wedding website.
  14. This is on Dateline tonight (Friday) from 9:00 - 11:00
  15. We have arranged to have a separate, private area of the buffet and there is no extra charge.
  16. Expect to be overwhelmed! The first time we went we only registered for three things! We actually spent most of the time looking at everything and figuring out what we wanted. Most major stores will give you an idea of what types and quantities of certain things (towels, sheets etc) you should be asking for based on the number of bridal showers and number of attendees and the size and type of the wedding. Expect to have to go back a few times at least..
  17. My vote is for the first one! I love the fact that the lace seems more delicate because it's not as "tight" a pattern..
  18. I agree. I know that I will feel that way and I think that it is totally normal to be excited and scared and afraid at the same time!
  19. Brittney those are stunning! YOu look absolutely gorgeous!
  20. We were thinking of going for the striploin - is the ribeye really better? Generally striploin is a much better cut.. Perla sent me a couple of options (pictures) for centrepeices - not sure what we are going to do about those. I emailed her today to ask her for pricing. I would like to do them myself but wondering if that is going to be a huge headache.
  21. That's awesome BECKS! Ben and I are thinking of going down in September to tie up all our loose ends so that would be awesome! I too am glad to hear better things about Swank. We will probably end up going with him because it seems like less of a headache - hard to say though! LeShay you are sooo close! Is there anything you need us to do?
  22. We are at the Paradisus and it's about $350 more for the single supplement - we don't have that many singles so it's OK for us!
