  1. Here's my quote again for 4 hours (the original quote) - it's about $1600 bucks... and these are his 2008 rates.. Michelle thanks for the spreadsheet - wondering about the linens and tables and chairs - did Perla or ELisa send you pictures for any of this stuff? Perla told me it was $30 per table for the overlays - WTF? 11-27-08-IHO_Mellisa_Radolli-775PC-DJ_Service_4_hours[1].pdf
  2. Welcome Kim! Glad to have another Paradisus girl on board! In terms of DJ - did you contact Victor directly? Even with his 2008 rates I think he was at less than $2000...
  3. Congrats and welcome from one Canadian to another!
  4. Welcome back! Cannot wait to see and hear all about it!
  5. I love the idea of favours from Mexico! That's a really cute idea and you can certainly get a great deal if you buy a larger number! I am excited to see your silk flowers too LeShay - we are going with real I think but only because we are only really doing my bouquet and my sis (MOH) - I think for the boutinierres I am going to do starfish! Just out of curiousity - How big of a group will you guys each have? We are thinking about 50 - we have 35 booked so far and maybe another 10 or so..
  6. I tried on every dress too.. LOL.. they said mine will arrive in June/July - UGHHHHH it's so hard to wait that long - trying to hit the gym hardcore and tone up before I have to try it on again b/c I am a little worried at the sizing!
  7. Crazy eh? I think the reason I ended up going with the one I did is that the sample of yours I tried on had been tried on too many times and it was dingy.. here is mine,,

    I'm new

welcome and congratulations! There is lots of great information on BDW~
  9. I got a shiver when I saw your dress - I came down to two and had a hard time deciding - your dress was one of them! You look absolutely stunning! Perhaps we are twins in another life - same hotel and same dress!
  10. Congrats Heidi and Reggie! Cannot wait to hear all about it!
  11. Welcome and happy planning!
  12. I am sooo excited for you! Hard to believe that you are leaving on Wednesday, sounds like you are just putting together all the finishing touches.. I was thinking that the second vase from the left looks pretty short - what if you had 10 roses in those? I think that would look nice - perhaps they could add a little greenery if there was sparce spots.. I think I have decided against carting down all my centrepieces - not sure I want to have to pack anything else - my FI is already rolling his eyes when I tell him all the stuff we need to take (And it's 8 months away!) Glad to hear that the spread sheets helped - they certainly helped me get a better perspective of what costs might look like!

    new bride!

Welcome! Both are great choices but of course I am a little biased towards the PRC - happy planning!
  14. Thanks for this! Barney loves massages so this is great!
  15. Did 40 minutes on the elliptical today and some weights!
  16. I agree with everything Martha has said. It is certainly hard to make a decision to go away to get married knowing that people won't be there. We struggled with this for a long time - FI's grandparents whom is is extremely close to are in their 80s and will not be traveling with us. I think if you want a dance floor and a DJ you should go for it. No one would ever say "why are we having this if there is only 15 of us?" I don't think you should sacrifice what you want because you are having less people. It's your day no matter what - just keep telling yourself that!
  17. Welcome Lanelle! There are lots of Cabo brides here and tons of great ideas... Happy Planning!
  18. Welcome! Picking a location is certainly the toughest decision - it took us four months - I started here researching and then came up with a list of about 10 places that I spent a lot of time comparing - one thing you may want to consider is how much you want guests/yourself to spend for a week all-inclusive. We decided on the timing first - once we knew we wanted end of November we started looking at pricing of the 10 or so resorts. For us one big item was that we wanted a resort that only does one wedding a day - there are a limited number of AI's that do one a day so we were able to narrow it down that way. Then we looked at prices of the top 5 or so. We were down in Mexio this past fall for a wedding and went to look at the Grand Palladium, Riu Riviera, Dreams Cancun, Bahia Principe and Paradisus which were our top five and ended up with Paradisus. Hope that helps!
  19. welcome and happy planning!
