    Civil ceremony first and then symbolic ceremony in Punta Cana. We are saving $ also on the 'symbolic package' too which is great.

    I stayed at this resort for ten days and loved it. We saw a couple weddings here, too. Very lovely and great place.

    Hi there! Punta CAna bride here! I'm getting married at Iberostar Punta Cana. It's lovely. Have stayed at a bunch of resorts there and there are so many different ones to love. Hit up the DR link on this forum.

    Excited Ottawa, 1200 is about right... BUT it depends on which resort, also. The Majestic is one of the more expensive resorts, so that right there will up the costs. When selecting the resort we were going to get married at, we picked one where that would be a reasonable price for everyne to travel to. As the time gets closer to yoru wedding, the prices will go up in airfare, but since Feb 2009 is so far off, I would DEF be calling other travel agencies (at least ten) cause it sounds as if they are way over-quoting you. That is insane. GOod luck!

    Do it however you want. Your wedding coordinator should be able to customize it. We are having a live band and DJ.

    I'm not sure if I've posted here before but I'm getting married 7/5/08 at Iberostar Punta Cana and then from there we're off to the Majestic Colonial to enjoy the rest of our weddingmoon. I'm getting really exciting cause it's really close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am really sorry to hear this. First, I'd call the store and see if there is a return policy at all or see if you can exchange it. Why is it that you've changed your mind about it?

    ^^ Omgosh. That is INSANE. Imagine if you have 100+ guests or something!!! My friends are staying at Eden H tomorrow for a few days and promised to take tons of pics for me so when I get them I will post them up here.

    I can totally relate. J and I spent 8 insane months looking for a house and it got to the point where I felt we would never ever ever find one! And you wouldnt believe it but one day I went on CRAIGSLIST and did a search for houses and drove by this one from a listing and voila...that was it. It wasn't even one our realtor had even thought to show us or even a neighborhood she'd even drive us by. LOVE it! DO NOT give up. It is a long, frustrating process but totally worth it in the end. Also, do not settle! Find the one you love!
