  1. ^^ Good info, ladies! I guess I'm just extra paranoid. And yes, I would definitely think it would be super sparkly!!!
  2. You aren't required to bring anything to an e party but here are some things that I got: a bottle of wine, a wedding planning book, a picture frame, gift cards to target and bed bath and beyond, plates, cups, etc.

  4. A night wedding does sound romantic! See if you can take your pics earlier in the day before sunset Ask your WC about those tiki torches and candles galore COngrats to you
  5. We're doing the legal ceremony here. And getting married on day 3 there. And then we have a week more to party/vacation. (We awnt as MUCH R & R after the madness that is this wedding!) I say go for Day 3! Cause day 1 is a travel day, Day 2, is for planning/prepping, and Day 3, you are ready to go!
  6. ^^ Nope. But my dress is a Maggie and I absolutely LOOOOOVE it! Here's your dress (JSM: Maggie Sottero Bridal Gowns - JSM1042)

GREAT advice, Maura!!! Thanks for the heads up. I need to take mine in about a week or so for the final 'white gold' dip Quote: Originally Posted by DougsGirl i've seen a really pretty reddish color with a golden sheen to it, that would be pretty and different.. Moonpalace, my girls all have hectics schedule, and one is out of state, so the day of the bridal shower (hoping the out-of-stater comes), I am going to pass out their gifts.

  9. The resorts have activities ALL day long within the complexes (all all all day long) and you can do a ton of excursions outside of them, not to mention shopping, and bar hopping outside.
  10. Let me tell you, that of the 48 people who have already BOOKED their packages, only THREE of them sent me a response card back. LOL. My wedding is in a month and my 'deadline' is 7/14. At this rate, I seriously doubt I will get more than 2 more back. LOL. And we anticipate about 10 or 15 more people because some are flying in from Europe and some live right in the Caribbean & are booking from the island. Crazy.
  11. Hi there. We are having our wedding on 4th of July weekend (5 July, a Saturday) and most people have commended us, saying it's great cause they all have that Friday off anyway from work.
  12. This may sound like a silly question but please help me out here.... When you guys got married, and swam in the pools at your hotels/resorts, did you keep your rings on or take them off? I read somewhere that the chlorine will damage the gold? (In my case, mine is white gold). Does it also ruin the diamonds? Is there any truth to this? Please advise. Thanks in advance!
  13. What gorgeous paper! Those invites are lovely and sure to get your guests/invitees pumped for the wedding!
  14. Okay, ladies, so I am now dreaming my wedding at least once a week in some way, shape, or form. LOL. I am supposed to go and register for gifts today, FI STILL needs a suit and we still can't find his ring! He says he may just buy a new one! We want to get ours engraved so we need to jump on that. I have been racking my brains over this but I have NO clue what color to paint my nails on our big day! My dress is an off-white color and my wedding colors or red/gold. I don't want to wear something too dark but do not like french manicures. Any suggestions? AHH! JULY BRIDES!!!
  15. I looooooooove that blue color, Dougsgirl! What kind of container are you going to put the sand in?
  16. Do whatever you want to make your cake special to you If you want the little bride & the groom, go for it
  17. Legal ceremony for us beforehand, too. We didn't want to deal with all the paperwork and translation of documents. We also didn't tell anyone except for our parents. No one else will know
  18. Aw! It looks like a great time was had by all! Congratulations on the new marriage in your family!
  19. That Snapfish/photosharing idea is really cool! I have never heard of that before. How does that even work? They just sign into your account and can upload? Those books are awesome. Your mother is the best!
  20. Sarah, Your wedding dress is gorgeous!!! Everything looks awesome! I love that all the BM dresses are different colors and that letter you wrote your friend Gina almost had me in tears. I hope you have an awesome time at your wedding. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :)
  21. Kharrod, I bet she would be happy if you asked her to be a bridesmaid. My sis and I aren't the closest but I asked her to be my MOH, being that she's my sister and I will say that through the wedding planning, it has brought us closer. Your wedding is still a long ways away so I think it would be very cool if you asked her to be a BM Just my opinion, though

Twinkle, I am with Maura here. I have never heard of linens being TOO PERSONAL. That is just crazy talk! don't listen to your friend. I'm registering this weekend, too (not sure where yet), and linens are prob #1on my list. LOL. We already have a ton of stuff so I doubt we'll register for lots of stuff. Maybe a formal dishware set (china) My parents went to a wedding recently where the bride and groom registered for a massive plasma tv. Now that is what I call "personal." (and weird!) lol
