  1. Congratulations & Welcome!!!
  2. We chose Riu Ocho Rios for a few reasons... 1. It is a large resort and can accomodate our guest list (Approx. 50+) 2. AI - Everything is included!! 3. Absolutely gorgeous resort & only 2-3 years old. 4. A lot of destination weddings are performed here! Good luck on choosing your resort!!
  3. Congratulations!!! Please post your pic's ASAP. I have a couple questions... Where did you have your dinner? Also, is the Blue Mountain Lobby bar big? I'm curious if I can have my guests have drinks there before dinner. The terrace outside looks like it can accomodate a lot.

I was talking about the site that Annie started this post with, not the tanks on E-bay. FYI.
  5. I think I'm going to have the bridal party and flower girls walk down to the tropical version of Somewhere over the Rainbow. For me & my Dad to walk down, I really like Answer by Sarah McLaughlin. I have no idea what we are going to walk out to though?
  6. Definitely cute stuff but kind of pricey. The beach bride tank with the palm tree was 37 or 38 bucks without tax or shipping - that's pretty high for a tank top.
  7. I'm not too concerned with the cake either - whatever they put out is fine - I heard to ask for no rum though - FYI.

Well right now I think I have 40 people coming and supposedly a few more are booking. Either way though even if I do have under 50 I think I'll still keep it at the Plantation. I like the idea that it's private. I asked my sister about it too and she said it would be nice to have it in a private area even if we are a couple short of 50. I already have it reserved and I'm sure the resort won't mind if I'm a few short - they are still going to get $500 for the 2hours.

Apparently the insulated travel mugs come in very handy because they are much bigger than the little plastic cups the bartenders will normally give you so you have less trips to the bar, and they'll keep the drinks cold. And most of our guests loooove their drinks! Is anyone else doing this as a favour and I'd love it if you could post pics of the finished product!? What I would like is something in Aqua which seems to be very hard to find! I would settle for white with Aqua imprint... I also want a tumbler style as I think that will be easier to pack than the ones with handles. I am just having trouble finding ones in colours I like at an affordable price, we will have 40 guests at least, I will probably buy 50 to be safe! I did find these which are more of a travel water bottle, do you think they would serve the same purpose? I like that they have the optional Ice Stick, I would probably go for that... what do you think? Would they still keep drinks as cold? They are just as pricey so should I stick with a travel mug? Sorry for the multi question thread! ha ha! This is my current wedding-related obsession! Jmhein - Did you purchase any travel mugs yet? I'm still thinking about ordering some for my guests too. Let me know if you've come across any good deals - Thanks.
  10. Thanks for all the great hair styles ladies! I found a couple that I love!

The pictures came out really nice!
  12. Oh, how exciting!! I hope you have a wonderful wedding & honeymoon!! Can't wait to see pic's!!

  14. Did any of you ROR brides end up shipping wedding supplies to the resort?

I would love to see pic's of it cuz I'm wondering how many seats there are outside. I was planning on having drinks after the ceremony here? I guess if there is not enough room, I'll have to figure out something else.
  16. Thanks Lizz! I'll probably just have FI wear one - it will look nice for pictures.
  17. I just ordered 100 invites for $275 w/ shipping (includes thank you's). Postage will be about $80. STD's were free from TA - Postage $40. Not bad!
  18. I ordered my invites from Invitations by Dawn. They are very nice. You can google it if you'd like. I didn't want to deal with DIYing it! Much easier for me.
  19. Question - If the GM's are not wearing a jacket, just shirt, do you still get them a boutiniere (sp?)...
  20. These are back up to $.99 each. Bummer - they were $.79!
