You can have the champane served with dinner, like we choose or right after the wedding. We paid Chandlyn cash at our meeting. We did go to the disco, but not for long. My oldest daughter and her friend went every night, Chris and I just went to spy dance on them for alittle while. They played standard club music, not many seats at all, just bar stools around the bar. They dont open until 11pm. Blue mointain bar terrace is very large. But I think the terrace is considered dunns river bar. Its all in the same area. I did get a chance to see the plantation and yes they have an ocean view also like mammee bay. Thanks for the info!!

    HI!

Welcome - I'm getting married there a few weeks before you!! Congrats!
  4. I'm wearing them in white so I don't think it'll be a problem. I'm sure if your dying them you should watch out though.

    Congratulations & Welcome!!!
  7. Heidi - I'm really sorry for all the pain you've gone through. I did not contribute, but I'm really glad it brought a smile to your face. Take care!
  8. Hi - Couple questions... 1. How did you pay Chandlyn...cash, credit card, etc? 2. The 8/pp for cocktails on the beach after the wedding, how long is that for? Is is just rum punch that they serve? 3. Did you go into the disco at all? I'm curious is there are a lot of seats and how big it is? What kind of music did they play? 4. Is the terrace at the Blue Mountain Bar large? 5. Did you look at the upstairs of the Plantation? Does it have a view? Sorry so many questions... Thanks!!!

  10. I know exactly how you feel. I'm about 5'1 and my FI is 6'0. I bought these wedge heels from David's - they better work. I'm also getting married on the beach with an aisle runner. I was thinking about practicing one morning after we get there just to make sure I can do it. Here's the link... David's Bridal - Accessory Joelle Dyeable wedge with sequins.
  11. Shelly - I'm really sorry to hear this. Like a lot of the other girls said, I think it is a good decision for the 2 of you. You will still have a fabulous wedding!! Talk care...
  12. Wow - that's expensive! But if it's what you want go for it!!
  13. Hi - I also looked into Riu Negril when I first started planning. Here are a couple of things I've learned. 1. It is a little more expensive. 2. They do not guarantee your dinner/reception spot until you get there. Obviously if you have a large party going this would not be good. 3. The drive is shorter from the airport to Negril versus the airport to Ocho Rios - Perk! My TA told me that ROR accomodates DW's more. Hope this helps.

Anyone have any ideas? The wedding is on a friday next august and have no idea what to do. I also dont think that I can afford to pay 50 dollars extra a head to have it at the pool or beach and if I remember correctly isn't there a beach party on Friday nights? You should call your TA and see if she can find out how else they can accomodate all your guests. Also, do they have the Plantation booked all night? I think if someone rents it out for 2 hours, then there is another sitting after that. I would totally get my TA involved cuz I'm sure she has connections. Let us know!
  15. Thanks Carly!!! These bouquets are gorgeous. I think I may go with this. I'll have to print these out and bring them with me!!
  16. Foxytv - I really like those. Are you shipping these ahead of time or bringing them with you?
  17. Wow - great idea's... So basically it boils down to all white or like a lot of the girls suggested, bright colors like red, orange, yellow... I really like that colorful bouquet that you posted Carly. So if I went with those bright tropical colored flowers would I also have a colorful bouquet or just the BM's? Also, what color flower petals for the aisle and boutiniere's? Sorry for all the questions but I'm really clueless when it comes to flowers!! Thanks for your help!
  18. Here is the color of my bridesmaid dresses... (Sapphire) Necessary Objectsâ„¢ Short Babydoll Dress - Petite Styles - Nordstrom.com This is really the only color I have picked out for my wedding so far... I really need suggestions on what kind/color flowers I should have. Bouquets, flower girl flowers, boutiniers (sp?), and extra flowers for decorating the ceremony site Please help - I have no idea
