  1. I've been to Barbados last Oct. It is Beautiful there. We didn't stay in the nicest hotel...it was okay. but the beaches, the ocean and the people are amazing. we could see sea turtles swimming around us in the ocean. The island is small, I think 26 miles or so around. the local food is good but greasy. if you go to a nice restaurant, it's very good. we stayed not too far from all the bars and restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap, which is fun to walk around. they have live karaoke contests, you can snorkel, or take a submarine ride. what other questions do you have?
  2. Welcome, i'm getting married in PV and plan to go to Le Kliff. I'm using Sebastian's for my hair and makeup. haven't decided on the photographer yet. don't know about a bakery...using a WC so she's taking care of that.
  3. We attended a wedding at the Grand Wailea two years ago. they got married on the beach which was beautiful, but it wasn't private (guests stopped and watched the ceremony). the resort itself is gorgeous!!! They chose to have their reception inside b/c an outside reception had to end at 10pm!! overall, we had a great time!

  5. QUOTE=Lorilou;148429]unfortunately, i had tried on soooo many dresses that day and when i finally tried this dress on, I got frazzled and broke down and cried. I was sooo stressing about the dress decision. my mom is coming in town to see it on me, i'll try to stay composed and take pictures of me in it. Okay, so here is THE DRESS with me in it. It was pinned b/c it was the sample dress and a bit too big. so hopefully, it will fit me better once it's altered. I'm planning on wearing my hair up and long dangle earrings.

I can let you know how did it went as soon as I come back. I have possitive feedback as far as today, they have send me better prices than the ones I originally found/negotiate with providers..... and since we are having a catholic ceremony also , they are coordinationg this event also, they will take care of everything: timing, flowers, priest, documents, etc so for me is much better. Please let me know what you think of Casa Las Salamandras, that's where we have booked to have our ceremony and reception. I hope it's nice!!! If you have a chance, can you take some photos of the place and post that would be wonderful!!! Thanks, anxiously awaiting your reveiw!!! Thanks!!!
  7. 4 on each side...it was hard. Started off with 3, then became 4...now we are set. but we are also having 2 ushers, does that count?

The food was spectacular, the service was incredible and the entire event was arranged through email. The website is época : A Beachfront Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico if you are interested and the owners name is Kurt. We paid $35 a head for GREAT food and the liquer was based on numbers of bottles opened. But I am willing to bet he would work with you based on your budget. I will be happy to send you pictures of my ceremony if you'd like (I havent quite figured out the posting thing yet) I'd love to see pictures, we are thinking of having our welcome/rehearsal dinner here. thanks!

  12. I simply said: "summer wedding attire, ties optional" my girlfriend's cabo wedding said: Wedding Attire Beach Chic: Girls: fun, summer dresses Guys: khaki pants, shirt and blazer or sport coat, or summer suit (ties optional)
  13. Yeah, that totally worked! Thanks. I hadn't gotten to that step yet. Just playing around with it. Thanks, what a relief.

  15. Hi Morgan, I've played around a bit with Movie Maker but I'm finding that when I view it full screen that the pictures look blurry (Pixelated). Are you having that same problem? Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! I really like using Movie Maker b/c it's so easy. but the pictures don't look that great. I tried it through Powerpoint and my pictures look fine full screen...
  16. yes, not cheap, but definitely original and you can use them again! Sometimes they have 10-15% off...so I'm waiting for that!
  17. you can design your own purse on www.1154lill.com. they have beautiful fabrics and a multitude of purse templates. I'm designing them for my bridesmaids.
  18. My FI is from New Zealand and we wanted a destination wedding on the beach. My friend just got married in Cabo therefore that was out, and b/c his family was coming in from the western part of the world, it had to be on the western side of Mexico...Puerto Vallarta!!

I feel much better about that schedule! It's at 9am...maybe I'll just not organize anything and let everyone decide if they'd like to do a tour on their own...it's the day before the wedding, so I don't know if I'll even want to do anything was anyone else like that?
  20. Hey Christine, I noticed in you avtar that your husband has on a white suit. My finance was looking for something like that. do you mind sharing where he got it? thanks!!
  21. that was my best friend's and one of my BM's wedding song. I love it too! good choice!

  23. yes, my parents...more my mom insisted on it and i said okay b/c she wouldn't have bought into the DW without having an AHR. We live in Chicago and my parents live in St. Louis, so it's going to be there. I said that's fine but they have to plan it and do all of the coordinating. I'm thinking I'll use it as an excuse to wear my wedding dress again!
  24. I use the La Sonic from bedbathandbeyond.com it's awesome. cleans it just like the jeweler. you have to buy the jewelry cleaner, which is a bummer but it's totally worth it. my jeweler said, i could clean it as often as i'd like, but just to check the stones if they ever become loose by holding the ring up to your ear and tapping it. if you hear a resonating sound, take it in. Which has happened to me. all good now though!! plus my ring is insured, so puts my mind and my fiance's mind at ease! Bed Bath & Beyond Product
