  1. Found them! Thanks so much Lizz. I was reading through the thread and realized I might have another problem... My cousin is doing my photography and I read the last 3 pages of the thread about how bad Michael is, the additional cost he tries to charge, and all that... I just sent Chandlyn a email about it, but I am not paying extra to him and I am not going to have him threaten my cousin, and I am not going to have to tell anyone off while on my wedding/honeymoon/vacation. I "might" have him do the video, but I really don’t like how he responded to you guys. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction for the arches. Do you know if you can bring your own decorations?
  2. I’m not sure if this info is located in another thread… Does anyone have any pictures and prices of the available arch/gazebo decorations for the ceremony at the Riu in Ocho Rios Jamaica?

Is there an additional cost and a certain guest count needed to have the reception dinner at the plantation? I'm working with a VERY tight budget and every time I mention any additional cost he says "What are you talking about ...upgrades...I thought everything was included... isn’t this a all inclusive resort?" He just does not get it, so I'm just trying to give him a total and kinda skim over each individual cost. But I dont think that is going to last much longer.
  5. I’m sure no one here thinks you are crazy for knowing what you want. You are working hard to make sure everything is just right. Did you order the boxes in a specific color?
  6. I didn’t even think about mosquitoes….I’m going to see if there are any other options for the reception. Totally let me know how everything goes for your mixer, wedding and reception. And you know all of us ROR brides are going to want to see all of your pictures. I cant believe your wedding is so soon! 3 weeks!!!!
  7. This is so cool!!! The list just keeps growing and growing. MoBride I JUST realized the date. 3 weeks!! I'm so excited for you.

I will be back from Jamaica on November 13 and I'm sure I will have lots of pics of the cocktail party to post so you can have a better idea of what it looks like. I think it's a great alternative to the disco though! Thank you so much MoBride!!! Any and all additional info and pics you provide from your experience would be totally appreciated. Also any suggestions and advice is totally welcome. I’m beginning to warm up to this idea… Are you going to have any decorations and entertainment for your welcome cocktail party?
  10. Thank you so much for the pics!!! It gives me a better idea. So you think we could have the tables and chairs moved down on the sand (if Chandlyn allows it) and have the dancing up on the left side of the bar? Or, maybe that is where the DJ can setup, now that I’m thinking about it, I wouldn’t mind dancing in the sand. It seems like there is a lot of traffic right there. Are there always a lot of people in that area? What do you think about that area for a reception? Also, Chandlyn says there is a charge of $10 pp for an open bar. Is the actual bar open all the time? Or is it available only at certain times? I really appreciate your help
  11. I need some help with my reception at the ROR… My dinner has just been confirmed for May 29 (Thursday) from 6:30 – 8:30. When I asked Chandlyn about renting the disco, she said it was already booked. So I asked her how much it would cost to setup the reception on the beach. I was told I could have it at the beach bar for $10pp for open bar and cost of entertainment. I’m not sure how many guests are going to come, it could be anywhere from 20-40. What do you guys think? Has anyone been to the beach bar? If so, what is the setup like? Does anyone have a picture of it? Would we be able to do the whole reception (dancing and all that) there? I just want to be able to party with my guests. Does anyone know if the resort has parties every night? I’ve heard about a party on Fridays…. I’m just not sure. Help!
  12. Hello, I just wanted to post my cousins website here as a resource for any Bride and Groom (actually anyone) who is in the Los Angeles area. She is a very free spirit and does amazing work. She does not specialize in wedding photography, but she is going to do my wedding (I would not trust anyone else) as well as my Trash The Dress and Boudoir photos. Ladies she would be PERFECT for any Boudoir photo sessions! She is up to anything and is very professional. Recently she has been taking a lot of Maternity Photos, which I think are absolutely beautiful. The Mothers To Be are as modest or risky as they choose! So check her out and if you’re interested drop her a message. Renisa Anderson Photography Thanks!
  13. cute! cute! cute! Do you have alot of kids around? Since they were not taken, it sounds like it could have been a joke or dare by the kids. All that matters is that you received them undamaged and in there full glory!
  14. Everything looks great!!! You did a wonderful job. I loved your bride’s maids bag. Where in the world did you get the personalized lip balm & body spray?
  15. Thanks for the explanation…. I’ll keep an eye out for any dresses that fit the description you provided.
