I dont know if we are doing a rehearsal dinner or not we are having about 150 guests so i agree on the expensive idea i think I kind of rather just have a brunch in the next day, I just dont want the guys to get totally out of control and drunk the day before the wedding, !!!!but we are just renting the house for the day are you renting it for longer Quote: Originally Posted by Lorilou we decided on Casa Salamandra in July with Kristin's recommendation. seems like we are in the same planning stages. we are bringing in our own photographer but same with the venue, caterer, etc. Are you doing a rehearsal dinner with all your guests? we are trying to figure that out but with around 90-100 guests, get expensive?

When did you decide to have your wedding at the salamandra?

I will be in PV in the last week of september for sure I will take my own pictures from the church, the Villa Salamandra, Westin, Mayan, etc. I will share with you as soon as I get back!

That is so exiting to go and see all the choices , we saw like 7 villas I really liked Villa Qinta Del mar I m prety sure thats the name of it I will check and let you know if its not, but Casa Las Salamandras was the first house I saw on the internet and I totally fell in love and it was the last one we saw when we went because it was the one that was in nuevo vallarta and the others were conchas chinas, and as soon as we walked into the parking lot and saw the house my fiance and I looked at eachother and we just knew we were like little kids at a candy store, it is more amazing than the pictures for sure and way more private than the hotels ,!!! BUT!!!! It is a lot more pricey and you have to get everything separate thats why we hired the Dazzling Details because we didnt want anything to go wrong! I really liked the Westin too I would defenetly recomend that hotel that was where we were going to have our wedding if we didnt have it at a Villa!!Plus I have heard that their wedding planners are very nice to work with! Well let me know if you have any other questions Oh and I have Decided to Hire PAULINA UOLLA as my photographer! shes great!!! You know that's funny becaue the only reason I saw the house was becaue a hotel party planner told me about Jose arreola and I was just looking at his cite and when I saw that house I fell in love with it and I had to have our wedding there! I liked the church down town but from nuevo vallarta to down town it would have been such a long drive for our guest , plus I like the church at the marina, its the same one that jose arreola has in the photos of the salamandra that couple got married at the same church we are geting married in, I left you a comment on another thread asking you about your monogram I like it where did you get it? We were there for 4th of july weekend and thats when we met Kristin from the dazzling details she took us around to like 5 villas to see if we wanted to have the reception there and we decided on Las Salamandras, we also stayed at the westin its a great hotel its one of the best, are you getting married there? Have fun!!!!! Quote: Originally Posted by JaimeLynne YAY, we finally booked our site visit to Puerto Vallarta! We'll be staying at the Westin 4 nights Dec. 16-20. Been there, done that. (For those who don't know I was sick with this stuff last time we went to Mexico in June. The night Martin proposed he practically had to drag me out of the hotel room!) Anyways, this is going to be a really nice treat for us since it will be right after finals and give us something to look forward to! And the weather should be great ~ YEAH, SO EXCITED!!!!
