Hello Trice. Welcome to the forum. Congrats and best of luck with your planning.
  5. Hello and welcome to the forum. You will love it here.
  6. Hello and welcome to the forum. Both Mexico and Thailand sound amazing. How many guests are you expecting? Are they coming from the Texas area? It will be much cheaper on your guests to travel to Mexico. How about a wedding in Mexico and a honeymoon in Thailand. Then you get the best of both worlds. Unless it is just the two of you, then I say go to Thailand!!!
  7. Hi Kristina. Welcome to the forum. You are going to love it here.

  9. My dress was ivory and Charlie's shirt was white. The only picture I thought it looked kind of funny in was one of our TTD photos where we were both completely soaked. My dress just looked dingy compared to his. All other pictures looked fine.
  10. Hey Kat. I just saw this post. Don't know how I missed it before. You look fabulous in your dress. Your waist is so teeny tiny!! I also love it with the veil. I too was worried that my dress was too simple but I knew it was the one everytime I put it on. Definitely go with your gut.
  11. We got engaged when I was 31 and he was almost 35. I don't think age really matters too much (it is more the maturity level which is different for everyone) but I am so glad that I waited to get married. I was dating a guy for 6 years (when I was 18-24 years old) and I could have easily gotten married but I have no doubt that I would have been divorced by now. To each his own though...
  12. Oh my gosh. This is the cutest pic. Thanks everyone for your input so far.

  14. Hi Micki. Welcome to the forum. I have been to Aruba and Bonaire but never finished visiting the ABC Islands. Curacao sounds amazing. I think you may be our first Curacao bride. Happy planning.
  15. Everything looks great. The parasol is beautiful!

I actually made it into cupcakes because she is tiny! Also for the topping I whipped the vanilla yogurt with some peanut butter!! Hope this helps! Bacon Chicken Layer Cake This recipe makes a real layer cake! Chicken, bacon and yogurt provide aromas that drive dogs crazy for this cake. •3 cups flour •1 T. baking powder •1/2 cup margarine, softened •6 eggs, beaten •1/2 cup corn oil •2 jars strained chicken baby food •2 cups finely shredded carrots •plain or vanilla yogurt •2 or 3 strips of bacon, fried crisp, then crumbled, or use bacon-flavored jerky strips, cut into bits. Generously grease and flour two 8" round cake pans; set aside. Combine flour and baking powder; set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat softened margerine until smooth. Add eggs and corn oil; mix well. Add strained chiicken, and shredded carrots and mix until smooth. Add flour mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour batter into the 2 prepared 8" cake pans. Bake at 325° for 60 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from pans. Cool completely on wire racks. Place one layer on a serving plate and spread yogurt over top. Place second layer on top, then spread yogurt on top and sides of entire cake. Sprinkle crumbled bacon or bits of jerky strips over top. Use "Pupperoni" sticks for candles. Thanks. Maybe I will have to try this one! My dog is also small (about 9 lbs) so cupcakes are a good idea. I am planning on having her doggy friends over too for the party. I think I really need to have a baby!!
