Hi Anny, Were you happy with your wedding cake from Pastelería Italiana? I was going to use the one from the FAC (although I don't know it they make it in house or get it elsewhere) but they are charging $8 per piece. That will be one expensive wedding cake since we are expecting about 100 even though we won't get a cake that big since a lot of people don't eat it. Thanks, Melissa

Oh my. This brings back some great memories. I was born in 75 and I remember just about everything on the list but the 80s were great too. The Dukes of Hazzard one made me laugh because it was oh so true! Kids nowadays just don't have it as good as we did! HAHAHA

Leticia ~ Your dress is gorgeous and I know you will look fabulous in it! Isn't it wierd how we sometimes just happen upon things. I went to several places looking for my dress and I probably tried on 50 different dresses. I liked parts of each one but not the whole thing. Then last Thursday on my lunch break, I decided to go to a boutique by my office and try on a couple more dresses. The first one I tried on I just knew it was the one. I couldn't believe it. It was the strangest feeling. I just knew it! I hadn't even planned on going and I didn't have my best friend with me and I found it. I also am in shock!! Congrats to you and please show us photos of you in it when you get it!!

My wedding is at the beginning of May and I did not send out STDs. Like everyone else said, the people that we really want to be there, already know about our plans. Many of them have already booked even though my FI and I have not. I think that is kind of funny. We are both commitment phobes. Oh well. I think you will be fine with just invitations but don't wait too long. (I should take my own advise. I haven't even started on my invites.) Plus you will save some money by doing invitations only and not both.

This was also a top priority for me. I have been to many places and have seen the brides lined up (so to speak) and I really wanted to be the only bride. One wedding per day would have been great but I am getting married at Fiesta Americana Condesa in Cancun and they only do one per weekend!!

I was there on a site visit but decided to go with a different location. Emmanuelle, the WC, is great! You could have the wedding on the patio area that overlooks the ocean.

FI and I are going to do a mini-moon and I am going to plan it. I am actually not going to tell him where we are going so it will be a complete surprise for him. Since we will be married in Cancun, I was thinking of Villa Rolandi on Isla Mujeres or head south to Ana Y Jose in Tulum. Decisions, decisions.

My FI and I also want to switch hotels after the guests leave. We are not doing a big honeymoon as we travel to amazing places every year but we do want to get away as husband and wife if only for a few days. We will be married in Cancun and will probably honeymoon on Isla Mujeres at Villa Rolandi. Another suggestion might be to take the ferry over to Cozumel? I am actually lucky because my FI is as much of a clean freak as I am. The house is always clean and he never leaves anything laying around. But the thing that bothers me so much is that he never tells me things until the last minute. I am as much a planner as I am a go with the flow kind of person, but he will call me at work at 5pm and tell me that there is a family dinner at 6pm when he knows I usually work until around 6pm and it will take me at least 40 minutes to get there. Although he knew about it for a week or more. Or just recently I found out that he had already purchased a ticket to fly to Budapest (I knew that he was thinking of going and I am excited for him) but he bought the ticket weeks ago and "forgot" to tell me. Once he received his itinerary he could have easily clicked on the forward button and done! It isn't as if he is going to see a friend that lives 20 minutes away. Guys just don't think sometimes but you have to love them!!!
