  1. Hi Jessica. Welcome to the forum. Have fun planning. This site will definitely make it easier for you!
  2. Hi Anna. Welcome to the forum. When I first started planning our DW, the Dominican Republic was our first choice. We really wanted to be married at the Catholic Church at Casa De Campo in La Romana (about an hour from Punta Cana). Unfortunately that didn't work out for many reasons but it is a beautiful place. You should check it out.
  3. Hi Jill. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your engagement.
  4. Oh gosh. These are too funny. I ran over your mom because big bird said to and he's my leader.
  5. Thanks so much for posting about this. I went to one Target today and they didn't have them but I called another one and they put some on hold for me. We are expecting about 100 people and almost all of them speak Spanish but for the handful that don't, this is such a great inexpensive item to put in the OOT bags. THANKS AGAIN!
  6. How about Maroma Resort? Maroma Mexico - Maroma Resort and Spa in Mexico It is adults only, has a great beach and is just outside PDC.
  7. That dress is gorgeous and I especially love the back of it. You look fantastic in it!!

    Hello!

Welcome to the site. PDC is a great area and there are a lot of PDC brides on here to help you out. Happy planning.

As an anniversary gift, FH will replace the e-ring, but when he does I will wear it on my right hand since the wedding ring is so detailed and intricate. Tami, your wedding band is very unique and beautiful.
  10. I was also just content with my e-ring doubling as the band too but FI wants me to have a separate one. Plus we like to travel alot and it would be nice to wear just the band and leave the e-ring at home. I have a 3 stone princess cut ring and the middle diamond sits out a bit from the side diamonds and nothing sits flush with it so I know how you feel. I think a simple wedding band for the left hand is the way to go.
  11. So I pretty much have given up on trying to find a wedding band that complements my e-ring. I could have one custom made but I don't know what would even look nice. So I think I am just going to wear my e-ring on my right hand and just start searching for a band that looks good on its own for my left hand. Is anyone else doing this?
  12. Welcome. I am a Cancun bride so if you decide to go with Cancun, let me know how I can help.
  13. We are actually having an indoor reception. I really loved the idea of an outdoor one but when we thought about it, it made more sense for us to have it indoors for the following reasons: 1. (Most important for us) We wanted a private reception. I know that some places have areas that can be/are private (especially Las Caletas) but we really didn't want people watching us on the beach in their bathing suits or being the nightly entertainment as they looked down at us from their rooms. We are expecting 100 people so we would have needed a lot of space. 2. We will be dancing and partying all night so we wanted it to be comfortable and didn't want people to be too hot. Many people (including myself) have said, why have a reception inside when you could just save money and stay at home. The idea of a destination wedding for us was to spend a week or long weekend with our closest family and friends. Everyone will have plenty of time at the beach. But after the church ceremony, we are having a sand ceremony to make it different than just being at home. Hopefully it will be a great experience for everyone!
  14. Sorry Eden. I didn't mean to confuse you. I meant that Coco Bongos is in Cancun. When I was looking for a place for my reception we looked at the Blue Parrot. Although we didn't end up picking that place, I hear it is great at night and a very fun place to be!
  15. Hi Sadie. Welcome to the addiction!
  16. What about adding an aqua colored ribbon around the bouquet? Your color combo is great!
  17. I also second what Tami said. You can wait until the second shipment comes to send mine to me as well. THANK YOU AGAIN so much for organizing and taking care of all this even though it was one more thing to add to your to do lists. I really appreciate it!
  18. The bars are all in Cancun and the distance between PDC and Cancun is about 45 minutes.
  19. I think everything looks great. I love the color combo. Check the spelling of "accommodation". It should have 2 c's instead of 1. I am also providing transportation from the hotel to the church and I simply wrote "round trip transportation will be provided to (name the church) from (hotel name)". Great job!!
  20. We are expecting about 100 people and it will be more family than friends. I would say 60/40 ratio.
  21. Welcome to the forum Dawn. There are so many Dreams Cancun brides on here that you shouldn't be stressed about anything. Good luck!
  22. Welcome. It is best just to make a decision and go with it. Sometimes the reviews of places aren't always accurate. Some people will complain about anything. I am sure it will all be very lovely. Good luck with your planning.
  23. There are a lot of Jamaica brides are on so you are in the right place to help make your dream wedding come true.
