  1. Hi Jill. Welcome to the forum. At least you already have the hard part out of the way (i.e. picking the date and location). Now you can move on to the fun stuff!
  2. Hi Jenn. Welcome to the forum!
  3. I think it is a great and inexpensive idea to give to your guests since most are going for a "romantic trip/honeymoon/anniversary". That is one item that I would guess most people would not bring with them but would come in handy since there will be a cd player in the room.
  4. I would pick pink first and then white but I would stay away from red. Can you mix the color of flowers in your bouquet?

It makes it soooo much easier to do TY notes when the cards are all ready to go. That IS a great idea to address the TY notes and would have been very helpful. Next time.
  6. My SIL threw me a bridal shower in Ohio at the beginning of this month and she had some cute ideas that I wanted to share. When she mailed out the shower invitations, she included a blank recipe card for people to write their favorite recipe and then bring the card to the shower. She gave me a recipe box and put all the recipes in there. Here are a couple pictures. She also gave me this wedding advise book. On the different pages she wrote the date, time and location of the shower. Then she added pages for menu, gifts and asked everyone to write a note to me giving me wedding advice. I really enjoyed reading what everyone wrote and it is all in one place. Here are a couple more photos: Sorry for the HUGE photos.
  7. Hi Morgan. Welcome to the forum. You are definitely in the right place.
  8. Great idea Alyssa. Fabulous work Sarah. I would love to receive one of these. Perfect job!
  9. I am going to order the ecofetti too but did anyone order the glassine envelopes that they sell on the site? If so, what were your thoughts. Too small? Perfect size? etc.
  10. I also say get an ivory veil. When I was in recently for a fitting, I was trying on veils with my dress to see how they looked. I wanted a longer veil and they only had one in white and I tried it on with my ivory dress and there was definitely a difference.
  11. Hi Desiree. Welcome to the forum. The Moon Palace is a beautiful resort. Best of luck to you!

Just make it a mission. I just kind of got tired of looking and was getting too particular with what I wanted. I didn't really want a wedding band with diamonds in it because there are plenty already in my e-ring and it would have looked too much (IMO) but now I am happy with having bling on both hands. Just keep looking and you will find the perfect ring to match it. BTW, it is a very beautiful ring.
  13. Good luck!! I also have a 3 stone princess cut ring (although no baguettes) and I had the hardest time trying to find something that looked good. My middle diamond sticks out which doesn't allow rings to sit flush with it. I thought about having a custom ring made but I travel a lot and wouldn't want to travel with my e-ring so then the band would look funny on its own. I decided to wear my e-ring on my right hand and I just bought a band for my left hand.
  14. They look great!! I am going to tackle the iron on project this weekend. I hope they look as good as yours.
  15. Hi Jocelyn. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your planning.
  16. We are using a local photographer in Cancun and we are paying $1,600 for 8 hours of coverage plus a TTD session on another day. This also includes some prints and she uses an assistant.

    Hello!

Hello Heather. Welcome to the forum. Have a look around and you will get lots of ideas, inspiration and help.
  19. Hello Elizabeth. Welcome to the forum. The hardest part for me was picking the date and location. One good thing though is it seems like you have narrowed it down to Mexico!! That is a start. When we picked we took into consideration hurricane season, low vs high season and what general time of the year we wanted to be married. May seemed to fit all of our criteria. As for east or west coast Mexico, it was easier for our guests to fly to Cancun then say Puerto Vallarta so we ended in on the east coast. We also really liked a lot of the adults-only but we are having many kids as well so we went with Fiesta Americana Condesa and couldn't be happier. It is just what we wanted. Good luck. It will all come together in no time.

    Hello!

Hi Mandy. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your planning.
  21. My wedding is in May (although this year) and I am getting married in Cancun. I wanted peonies but they would have been super expensive. The florist said they were going to have to have them shipped in from Holland or something. Not sure if that is true or just an exageration. But I am going to use orchids, roses, cala lilies and stargazer lilies and they were all reasonably priced.
