  1. Does anyone have a "day of" schedule that they could post? I'm totally confused~!
  2. I want pretty simple, elegant jewelry. I'm thinking just some really nice pave style earrings and a matching brooch/pin for the bustle of my dress. I don't know where to look though. I promised FI I wouldn't spend over $100 on these two items. Any suggestions?
  3. Also, if you do it through ebates.com you can get free shipping and 3% cash back.
  4. Please check out smartbargains.com We just bought my fiance's Ralph Lauren cotton tan suit for the bargain price of $129.98. We've been having some trouble finding one. I almost bought it last week at this site for $179, and when we checked it out yesterday, it was at a further reduction! Here's the link if anyone's interested: Save on the Famous Maker 100% Cotton Khaki Suit at SmartBargains.com
  5. Our guest lists is slowly dwindling (and we keep going back and forth between Hawaii and Cabo for our wedding). But I was wondering...Has anyone held their reception at Piñata Terrace? It sounds like a great place (oceanfront) to have a small reception. Why doesn't anyone seem to have their reception here? Oceana isn't oceanfront, but everyone with a small guest list seems to have it at Oceana. Any reason in particular? Is it more private? Do you think you could hang lanterns at Piñata Terrace?
  6. Sorry, I meant to post this in the regular forum. Please delete.

  8. I've been talking with him, but he seems awfully busy lately. He's promised to get me a quote today.
  9. I simply adore these shoes. They are exactly what I want for my wedding shoes...except for the color. My dress is diamond white (kind of ivory-ish). I don't want my wedding shoes to match perfectly to my dress. I always figured I would just do a metallic heel or something. Do you think these would clash with a wedding gown? With colorful shoes, it's apparent that you're incorporating your wedding colors with your shoes. My colors have coral/blush in them. What do you guys think? Are they too close to ivory, without being ivory? I suppose I could always order them and return them if I don't like them. Here's the dress:

  11. Hi Jessica, We're not married yet, so I can't answer your question. We were originally planning on getting married in Mexico, but my fiance's stepmother and her daughter are here on visas (not sure what kind) and so they can't travel to Mexico. So now we've decided on Hawaii. We haven't decided on a venue either. I love the Kahala, but it costs $4200 to have the basic wedding there, and if you bring an outside photographer they charge you a $1000 fee. Additionally, if you have your reception there, there's another $1000 location fee outside of the cost of food and drinks. Oy. It's getting really expensive! We may be getting married at the Hilton (if they ever get back to me!!)
  12. I found this link on another site. It's basically a scouting trip (with LOTS of pics) of several different venues on Oahu. Oahu Scouting Trip Pictures
  13. I grew up in Boston and I remember they always used to show the crazy footage of this on the news...women grabbing anything and everything they could find just so that other women wouldn't grab it! I always wanted to go to this, but now I live in California. Brings back memories though!
  14. For anyone interested in the Hilton, they sent me pics of the beach gazebo. It is really adorable, but still doesn't solve my problem of wearing heels on the beach. I hope this helps anyone else considering the Hilton!
  15. Who is Anne? I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone at the Sheraton...
  16. I'm asian and this happens all the time, although if I drink slowly it usually doesn't. I have a friend that takes a benadryl before drinking and she doesn't turn red (although I don't recommend Benadryl since it should make you drowsy...)
  17. Are you getting married on the beach? Where are you having your ceremony? How many guests?? I'm still waiting to hear back from the Sheraton to see if they have availability this November. It's like pulling teeth so far! Congrats on securing a date though!
  18. I think it's doable if you pay the ceremony/site fees and pay for a guest day pass for each of your guests including yourself. I think the guest passes are $75 dollars each (they may be more, I can't quite remember) so I imagine it might end up getting pretty costly if you have a large guest list.
