Okay - first post to this thread I went to the gym the last 3 days for an hour and a half, which is great start for me! I did cardio for 45 minutes and strength training, which I hate, BTW. FI is a gym rat, so he's great motivation.

I love Trish Mcevoy! Also Laura Mercier. They are both a little more expensive, but totally love their stuff. Lancome has great eyeshadow quads (4 shades that coordinate in one package). They'll show you how to apply yourself to get a great look. Any department store counter should do a free application and teach you how to use their products. If you can go on a weekday, they are less busy and will have more time to spend with you. Weekends you may want to make an appointment. I totally second the "I need to wear it for a little while." Unless I've used a foundation/shadow/blush before, I usually walk around the mall for a bit and decide if I like the look. If you start by going to the makeup counter, then you can shop, decide if you like, and go back to buy before going home. Most makeup counters work on commission, so try to buy from whoever helped you.

I'm off tomorrow, so I think I'll head down to the crafts store and see what I can find. I think I may actually try to make my own bridal jewelry! I used to make sterling jewelry, so if I can get the supplies, I'll let you know. I haven't totally decided what I want to wear, so maybe I'll try to make a lariat and see how it goes -

I know that TA's get different commisions from different locations. When we were booking our honeymoon, our TA kept suggesting Couples. Turns out she would've gotten more money from them than some of the other places we were looking at. That being said, I'm sure some TA's are honestly looking to make you happy and give the best advice. I second the "tell US what you want" part

Help Finding This Necklace!

Just checked - *Swarovski Flat Back Crystals / Swarovski Hot fix Crystals carries the clear crystal beads, and Ebay has the coin pearls. Argh... I think I'm going to try to DIY my wedding jewelry! -
Help Finding This Necklace!
Jenn replied to MsShelley's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I'm going to kick myself for saying this (because I think I'll try to do it)... you could DIY these necklaces pretty easily. They sell all the jump rings and stuff at crafts stores. If you bought some nice crystal beads or coin pearl beads (I think that's what the flat ones are called) you could probably DIY a sterling silver necklace without too much cost or effort. Needle nose plyers are about the only thing you'd need. -

Just brainstorming.

Heidi - You are in all of our thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss. If there is anything I can do, just ask.

I don't want to buy more glass containers and try to bring them all with me without breaking, its going to be hard enough to worry about one. Help please! I love the idea of the nautilus shells, but I can't seem to find them cheap. Anyone else had any luck? I also would worry about them breaking...

Don't you ever think that you are big or "over weight" Your FI is going to love the pictures and no matter how he looks you love him so much right. He loves you, why would you or any of us try to lose a few pounds or skip dressing on our salad to save a few calories? Sorry for the rant but I love the femal body and I love how it changes as we get older and I wonder why we as women can't accept that we are going to sag a bit? Remember we also get more curves and now we know how to use them! Here is to all the women with all our non size 4 bodies, that have men who love every inch of our skin. Why can't we? Beautifully said Sara

I'm still trying to find my way around it - the message boards are a little confusing honestly, but I really like food/workout journals, and they have tons of yummy recipes. They have these "teams" that you can join for motivation. We should could start a BDW one!

Finally managed to take a decent pic of my ring! FI knew I wanted an ascher with sapphires, but he designed it and I love it! -

They have a ton of food options, which works for me, because I doubt I'll use their meal plans.
