  1. For those of you that are giving your guests an option for the main course, how do you plan to indicate the food choicecs for your guests. Mariana says I have to give her the count in advance which I have. She suggested place cards with a different color mark on the each, one for seafood & one for beef. Does anyone know if the waiters will collect the card? Do they just ask what you ordered? I am planning on using frames for placecard holders and then I was going to color code the name inside the frame. I just didn't know if that would work. Thanks!

I met her when I went down for my site visit last Sept. She is a true professional. We got to have lunch ith her and I felt like I got to know her a little. After meeting her I was sure I had to work with her. You won't be disappointed. I LOVED living by the beach, but when it came time to actually buy something, there's no way I could have afforded it The bay area is really nice though!! I love San Fran...aside from the weather, everything else there is so beautiful!!

  4. That's so cool!! I can't wait until I can send in my review!!
  5. We have AT&T also for cell service. When I went for my site visit I added the "Mexico" service, i think for $4.99/month. there is a minimal per minute charge for calls in addition to the monthly rate, but it's i know once i'm there it will be much easier to get in touch w/ my WC, FI and other immediate family that will still have cell service as well. It works to call within Mexico and back home. OMG Michelle, you leave soon!! i'm SUPER excited for you!!
  6. can't wait to hear all about it. i'm having my rehersal dinner at pancho's.

Summer, I answered your question about the DL# and credit card in your other thread but I provided WIP with my info and had no problems. WIP was priced at about what I've seen the other brides pay for their WC. The reason I decided to use them is because like you I didn't know who to trust. I was hesitant to try and make arrangements with the Cabo vendors directly (before I found this forum) thinking I'd pay them and they might not show up. WIP guarantees all the vendors they recommend and rather than paying your vendors individually, you pay WIP and they handle payments to the vendors. I figured this would make it easier for me. I went for a site visit last September and met Katie for the 1st time. At that point I had only given them $200 thinking if I decided not to use them for whatever reason I'd only lose $200 so no biggie. My site visit was the same week there was a hurrucane in Cabo & I could't get in tought with WIP before I left. I was a little worried but once I got there, totally relieved. Katie picked my mom & I up from our hotel just as she had agreed, even though her house had flooded in the hurricane days before. She spent about 8 hours with us showing us multiple venues. When I went for my visit I hadn't decided on a location yet. She had a great rapport with all of the locations. I initially wanted a villa wedding and she was able to show us villas that I know other brides couldn't see without having to pay a fee. So after meeting her I was sold Anyway, she has been totally professional. Communication with her & her office is very easy. They have a toll free # that makes it easy to call from here and when I email her with questions I generally have a response within an hour or a two. You'll notice that dealing with the other vendors in Cabo they can take days to respond. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
  8. I am using Katie at WIP. I had to email her a copy of my Driver's license and credit card to put a $200 deposit. When I booked her and had to send money for vendors it was done via transfer. I did not have any problems.
  9. I am using Katie for my wedding next month. She has been amazing. I met her when I went to Cabo for my site visit last September. She spent an entire day with my mom & I and showed us numerous options for my wedding. I decided on Dreams and she has been such a great help in coordinating all the vendors we are using. I liked the fact that she is American and that I knew there would be no possibilities for miscommunicaton since most vendors 1st language was Spanish. Prior to hiring her, I asked for references and I she provided me with a list of brides whose weddings she had cooridated. I contacted several of them and they all raved about her. That coupled with her professionalism once I met her made me feel very certain that I wanted her to coordinate my wedding. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have about her.

I am using WIP. Who is your coordinator? I have had nothing but a positive experience with them so far. PM me if you'd like more info. Have you already booked them?
  11. Better late than never. I finally got my siggy done for this month. Christine, I love your beagles. Don't they have so much character? Mine reminds me of a little old man the way he snorts and grumbles when he's trying to get comfortable. He stays with my parents now. When FI and I bought our place we took his dog who I have fallen in love with. My parents were so attached to my beagle they refused to let me take him!! But they spoil him rotten so that's ok. Carly our Am Bull is named Sugar too!! She's my gentle giant. It's so fun to see everyones pets.
  12. This is my 2nd wedding & FI's first. When we got engaged I was feeling guilt about having another "big" wedding. I too was too young to get married the 1st time had nothing but the best of expectations & was truly heartbroken when my ex left. Luckily, FI didn't really want a traditional wedding and since we were already living together we figured a DW was the way to go. We have great friends & family who all looked at the chance to go away for their wedding as an opportunity for all of us to spend time together. Family and friends that were thre the 1st time around are happy they can see me happy again too. I made it VERY clear that I didn't want this to be an obligation to anyone and hoped only those that wanted to join us would. We are having more guests than I anticipated, (50) and am very excited about that. I also didn't want FI to feel slighted by that fact that I was not wanting to have a big wedding. but a dw fit his expectations perfectly. So don't feel guilty, no one else will be thinking negatively!
  13. I have the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign on my low back with a blackjack hand (queen of hearts & ace of spades) coming out of the top of the sign. vegas is my favorite place to be other than home and blackjack is my game of choice when I'm there. I want to get another one soon. the number 26.2 with wings on the top of my foot to remember the marathons that I have done and to inspire me to keep running.
  14. I also used clear labels and printed them on my computer. They turned out WAY better than they did if I would have handwritten them because my writing sucks!! I just used a nice font, it was much easier too!
  15. ohhh i better get to target! thanks for the tip!
