I am about to book my photographer, and I'm super excited but his contract askes for 50% at the time of signing the contract and the remaining 50% 15 days prior to the wedding. What do you guys think about that? What payment schedules have you guys been given by your vendors? Should I even be concerned?

Have you tried contacting the Mexican consulate in NJ? I know they can translate legal documents into Spanish, so they might ne able to translate to English. It's worth a shot.

Just wondering if anyone has or is having a Catholic wedding in RM? I'm in the process of planning my wedding and was hoping someone has planned a wedding like this, and could give any advise. I want the reception/party possibly at a beach restaurant after the ceremony. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Evan and I met in the 2nd grade! He moved away sometime after, so I didn't see him again until our senior year in high school when I figured out he was my best friend's cousin! In 2003 I moved back home form college and somehow I ended up falling in love with him! He proposed on our 3 year anniversary (11/18/2006)! So we've been together for 3 1/2 years. I remember feeling like we had been together for years when we had only been together for a month! It was though I had completely forgot what my life was like before him!

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only that feels that their friends and family have too much going on to care about our wedding planning. I have 10 girlfriends that I'm very close to and they all have had serious relationships for at least 5 years. My fiance and I have been together for 3 years and we're getting married, so I feel a bit awkward talking about the wedding with some of them since they've BEEN expecting a ring for some time! So I generally don't bring up the wedding unless I'm asked about it. I'm glad I can turn to this forum! I'm still new but I LOVE this site!
