I think that we are going to do ours the evening after. One of our photog friends is going to shoot it and loves the light just before sunset, so we'll take her advice, look for an isolated piece of the beach, and go from there. I don't think that we will tell anyone our plans, as we're really not looking for spectators... Later in the day also means there will be a few drinks in our systems and we may be a little less inhibited and more goofy!!!

Ceremony ideas..

Well look at that, we've been to a concert together and didn't even know it!!! As DMB loyalists, Amy & I think that's a great idea and talked about something similar. We're probably having our first dance to "Steady As We Go" and there will surely be tons of Dave sprinkled into the wedding, reception, and rest of the events we have down there. We debated on I'll Back You Up, but decided the words are a little too garbled for most people to get on the first time through... Too bad you're out in California instead of a a Tennessee lamb marrying a dixie chicken... -

I know things can seem somewhat overwhelming in the beginning ... but the fact that the two of you are talking about it means that you will eventually figure out what's best for you! OK, well, thins turned out well for us so far, so let me tell you how we did it. I work in a large medical office with several other surgeons and PAs... That's also where Amy & I met, so we know lots of people there pretty well and they have known us before and during the entire 6 years we've been dating/engaged. We invited anyone we thought would be fun to have there and included all of the surgeons so as not to cause any ripples... Our take was that while we wanted some to make it more than others, there were not any that we would be upset to have there. We also made it clear on an inclosure with the invites that we knew many people would not be able to make it and we didn't want anyone to feel pressured. It was wored perfectly in my opinion. We had three options for replies, saying Yes - Not Sure yet but keep in touch - No, but keep me posted on plans for a reception closer to home... I definitely would not invite anyone that you DO NOT want there! But, in reality, it's a big party and celebration for your wedding. You can choose who you spend more or less time with while there.

Tanning advice and deals on where to tan?

All of these people going to sunny destinations, and nobody has any more insight on good tanning deals Maybe they just aren't out there, since they know people (especially you girls) are going to tan no matter what... -
groomsmen's gifts

Hardest part for me was figuring out what player and color to get for each guy!!! -

Each picture would take up something like 100 MB or 100 minutes worth of MP3 music. There has to be a basic standard that is considered high enough quality and will project well when shown in a slideshow... Someone, anyone

Amy found great tank tops on eBay and the seller was willing to negotiate down a bit since we bought 5. Very nice quality, and the girls love them!!! I can find the name of the seller and her email address so you can contact her directly if you want. -

They'll all definitely use them, and it should make for some great pictures!!! -

OK, working on putting together our slide show of growing up and pictures since we met. I have a relatively simple question that is confusing me. A lot of my more recent photos are in digital format, but all of the old pictures need to be scanned in. That's no problem, but I'm not sure what dpi and size I should scan them in at. Obviously I want them to be as small as reasonable but don't want to jeopardize clarity on the big screen. I understand dpi, resolution, etc... I'm just not sure what happens to these images once they are projected and what will look good/bad... Anyway, I've digressed... Can someone who has an idea, let me know the settings that I should be using to scan these in? Thanks, sooner the better, because I'm going with what I think is best now, and that could be disastrous!!!

OK, first off, I'm a little opposed to posting in the "Ladies Lounge" but as someone who can be a little obsessive, I had to put this post where it belonged, even if it felt a little less masculine than I'd prefer!!! Suprisingly, I couldn't find a post pertaining to tanning since this once about 8 or 9 months ago. Old tanning post We're set on the idea of hitting a tanning salon to get some color before the wedding so I do not need to debate whether it's healthy, better/worse than spray on tanning, etc... What I am wondering, is if someone knows the best way to find a deal on getting memberships for the next 6-8 weeks? Haven't looked too hard yet, or called around anywhere, but I figured that all of you resourceful people here might save me some time and make Amy happy by speeding this process up. Any help or advice would be appreciated. We're in Texas (DFW area) but since a lot of the locations are nationwide, I'm hoping someone has some ideas...

Home Depot VS. Lowe's?

Want tickets to the Super Bowl? Put 'em on there... A cabin for a weekend in the mountains? Add that too... The sky is the limit which is why we loved it. Also wanted to add some resort stuff, like massages, a pedicure for her, etc... -

Home Depot VS. Lowe's?

Plus, if you're having any showers or a reception afterwards, your registries are good for that too... Everyone I've talked to says register, and register for a lot... It's nice to give your guests options, and if you don't register for enough, people will buy you what THEY think is nice... Who knows what you will think of it. Like I've said before, I love the MyRegistry.com - All Stores at One Registry site and it allows for registering at as many places as you want...
