  1. I voted for $601-$1000. My dress was originally quoted just over $1000 before taxes at local bridal shops. With other Knotties' help, I was able to find the lowest price online from Lee Philip Bridal. I then took that quote to Chrissy O Bridal in NJ and she beat it by 6%. The final price was $652 plus $20 shipping. Since the dress has a corset back and I ordered Petite size, I am hoping that I don't need to do any alteration at all! 2. I am going to be a Maggie Sottero bride too. I love their dresses! I ordered this dress without trying it on!!! I hope it will turn out alright... :-) MaggieSottero.com - Dress Detail - Mandy
  3. I am not a jewelry person so I wanted something really simple. I asked for my FI to focus on quality not quantity and he did a wonderful job picking the exact ring I was looking for. The 1.22 ct solitaire dimond still looks huge on my finger lol
  4. Welcome and Congratulations! There is a lot of information here. I am still trying to go through all the posts. Happy planning!
  5. I am getting married at Couples Ocho Rios. At Couples, you are allowed to bring in a photographer from outside, according to my travel agent. I am still looking for a professional photographer who takes decent pictures and at a reasonable price. My FH doesn't want to pay thousands of dollars for pics lol Aylee Designs can make a free monogram for you. There are many other DIY project templates on her website as well. 6. When I open up the pages, they are telling me the following fonts are not available: Zurich Ex BT, Cherish, Jenkins v2.0, and BankGothic Md BT. What can I substitude them with?
  7. I had been looking for this template too, thanks ladies... However, it is asking for more fonts and I can't find them on dafont.com!! Do you substitute with other fonts or where did you find them?
  8. I believe it is because 12/15 to 4/15 is the peak season and from 4/15 to 12/15 is the off-peak season due to the hurricanes.

    Hi ya'll

Wow, it is so active here. I am so excited to be at the right place. Thanks to everyone for the feedback! So I've been thinking about Riu at Ocho Rios too to keep the cost down for other guests. I am still looking into to use the wedding package offered by Riu or go to an offsite for a more customized and intimate wedding. Does anyone know how much an offsite wedding will cost (in the ball park) in Jamica? I have no idea right now where to set my budget to. - Sharon

    Hi ya'll

My name is Sharon from San Antonio, TX. We're just starting our planning as well. Haven't set our date yet, but we're looking at Mar/Apr 08. We'd love to have a DW. We want to choose a tropical island that has more than just beaches and not too expensive for all the traveling guests. Right now I'm leaning toward Ocho Rios, Jamaica. But if you gals have other locations to suggest that will be very helpful. I'm sure I'll have tons of questions later, but I figure picking the spot would be the most important at this point. Thanks, Sharon
