For those who shipped items (or are planning to) (ex: DIY aisle runners,centerpieces, dresses, etc) for their weddings to their destination...I was wondering what do you do with the items when you are done with your wedding? Do you ship them back home? I am not planning to have an AHR when we return, so I would see no use for some items.

I have just started to do this sometimes on the "side" myself. Nothing official yet. The biggest 'target audience' I get is from graduations. I've also done them for like sports banquets. I just created one for a company's annual banquet as well. I am working on one now for a family reunion at the end of the month. Ideas are endless. You wont really make a lot of money by just selling 1 per function. I usually give a discount to the host of the function if they allow me to sell the dvds at their function. Parents love this! Other ideas: * Mother's/Father's Day presents * Retirement parties * Anniversary parties As far as price, I kind of tailor it to how long they want they dvd,how many pics they want to include, # of captions, how many songs, etc. Hope this helps :~)

We are going to pay for everything ourselves. Unfortuanely, neither of our families are in a place where they can contribute anything. But I'm so darn independent anyway, I wouldn't let them if they were even able to. LOL.

Okay, dont laugh. But I do NOT wear makeup. The closest thing to makeup I wear is lip gloss! I was wondering if you got your makeup done by the resort, do you bring your own makeup for them to use?

I'm going through the exact same thing. My 2 favorite things I've heard thus far are: * "Well, are you at least going to pay for everybody to go?" and * "Evidently you planned on not wanting anyone to attend your wedding, otherwise you wouldnt be going overseas!" I can only imagine some of the other things I'm going to hear! But like someone else said, I could care less if it was just me and my FI. Of course, I would LOVE to have all of my family there, but before I even started planning, I knew some of my family would flip. But this is what my FI and I want and NO ONE in our family/friends is going to change that. You would think that they would realize how much stress you already have with trying to plan a wedding! For once in my life, its time to be selfish. lol. Besides, you can always send them a postcard! lol
