  1. Marsha, if you could just leave the Plantation set up until May 16 for my reception that would be great...lol
  2. My bridesmaids are so wonderful. At my shower, they gave me a $600 Visa gift card to use for "Jamaica shopping". Today I went out and used almost all of the card. It was so fun! I bought tons of bathing suits, cover-ups, shoes, etc etc. Now my only problem is figuring out how I'm going to pack all of it (along with all of my wedding crap)!
  3. So after starting this thread almost 2 months ago, I finally went and got it done today! It was so NOT painful and was definitely easy. I went to a great salon near my house and the wax girl and I just talked the entire time and I swear I hardly noticed she was doing it. I'm a little red right now, but that's it. Thanks for all of your advice and encouragement girls, I wouldn't have gone through it without you.

I asked anyway if I could exchange and they said YES!!!! So I ended up trying on 2 dresses and feel in love!!! here is my new dress: I am just going to put the other dress on ebay it is a gorgeous dress just not for me. I'm so glad it worked out for you. Your new dress is gorgeous! The same thing happened with me - I exchanged a dress at DB (9 months later!).
  5. to the forum! Happy planning!!!
  6. That's so exciting! Don't forget to take pics for us!

  8. Betsy, have a wonderful time and a perfect wedding! I can't wait to hear all about it! Congrats

I know the material might be different and not as nice in person, but it really is pretty. It is very similar to my dress (thanks for noticing Carly!), except mine is the knock-off version from DB, so it's definitely not the same quality as a Jim Hjelm. But I think it would be worth you trying it on at DB, it's so similar (no sash, though I'm sure you could add one).
  11. Mo, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know how much you wanted this pregnancy. It will happen for you and Tim, I know it will. Keep yourself busy this weekend. We're here if you need to talk. Big hugs!
  12. All of my friends and my sisters have gotten "push presents", but I think it's a relatively new concept b/c my mom had no idea what it was. I look at the Tiffany catalog and jokingly point out to Mike possible push presents...lol!
  13. I'm so sorry you're not happy with the dress. The original one is gorgeous. I hope you find something similar to it.
  14. I'll have to see if my mom kept my NKOTB sleeping bag. I will so use it to sleep out and get tickets...lol! A few years after they weren't as famous anymore, my friend and I went to see them at the TLA on South Street (which is a much smaller venue then they used to play). This is when they came out with that song "Dirty Dawg" (anybody remember?). Anyway, we got booed and made fun of as we were waiting to get in. But I got close enough to actually touch Jordan, I was in heaven!

  17. WOW! I'm impressed! Everything looks amazing. I am also doing the guest seating chart. How large are you printing yours? I just started working on mine this week. Do you have a template you could send me?
  18. My sister emailed me this morning to ask if we should move the wedding date...lol! I have been telling my sisters that we are going to their concert as soon as I heard they were reuniting (my sister took me to the NKOTB concert when I was in 4th grade so I thought it would be great to go together 20 years later). Oh well, maybe I'll catch them next time around! BTW, something really embarrassing... I've wanted to name my child (girl or boy) Jordan ever since I fell in love with Jordan Knight so long ago. Mike told me hell no!

  20. Congrats Heidi & Reggie!!! I'm so happy for both of you!!!
  21. I didn't register for china, only for everyday dinner plates. It is the Sango Nova Blue set at BB&B. I LOVE it!!! I got all of my sets, the completer set, the hostess set, salad plates, canisters, mixing bowls, etc. I'm addicted...now I found an ebay seller that sells the pattern and am considering ordering more stuff.
  22. My favorite thing to do is run when I'm traveling. Mike always says I'm crazy to "waste" vacation running, but I think it's the best way to explore new cities. I love that I've run through the streets of New Orleans, South Beach, Amsterdam, etc. As soon as we check into a hotel, I'm ready to get out and run!
  23. So cute! I ordered stuff from there last week and I ordered a size larger than normal and I'm glad I did.
