  1. Welcome back and congrats Those are some great comments about your wedding, you must be so happy!!! I can't wait to see PICS!
  2. They have off-white ones here: Colorful Rice Paper Parasols and Umbrellas - Shop by COLOR - White
  3. They're both beautiful! I like the suggestion of getting a ring custom made with both things that you want - the Tacori style and the Kay hidden diamond. Just curious (maybe I missed a post?)....why are you buying a new e-ring?

Good luck It's funny b/c I was just at Five Below in Ardmore last week buying stuff for the OOT bags for my 2 nephews. But it is only a few minutes away from me, so I can easily make another trip. Thanks for the suggestions!

I dont think that it matters if it is on the "down scale" but I think that they should def get one so they dont feel left out! Believe me, I know that there is a lot of planning in a DW, but remember the economy isnt great right now and I would appriciate those who even made an attempt to be there! Don't get me wrong, I definitely appreciate the fact that they're coming, I'm just annoyed that some of them didn't tell us. I'm also annoyed at myself for not planning accordingly and getting extra stuff just in case. There is no way that I wouldn't give them OOT bags, I just am out of the stuff that is in everyone else's bags; so I'll have to go out and get stuff but oh well!

  9. I don't know if have enough time, but I ordered mine for my Welcome Party from Oriental Trading Company. Maybe someone that is more crafty than I am will have a good DIY suggestion for you...

Also since the interest rate is really low right now can he consolidate his student loans to a lower interest rate and lower payments. Also has he gotten some of his loans knocked off for teaching? I get 5k knocked off in another year for teaching in a public school that is on the list, he should check to see if his is on the list. I had a card that had an outrageous interest rate and got a bank loan for a much lower interest rate, a line of credit is what I got. I think what Christine is talking about is a "forbearance". I applied for a forbearance twice and got it. I did it because I was trying to pay off a large amount of credit card debt. So instead of paying my student loan, I paid the same amount towards my debt. It really really helped and I am totally credit card debt free now. Has your FI consolidated his loans? He should check to see if the company offers this. All of my student loans are consolidated with Sallie Mae.

How many did you invite total? Girl, your day is getting SO CLOSE! You must be so excited!!!!!!!!!!! We invited a total of around 200 I think. I'm from a very large family and surprisingly a lot of them are coming (which I was not expecting but am so psyched about). Quote: Originally Posted by Lorilou That sucks. Not just OOT bags, but I would have been really frustrated because DH and I budgeted the costs of the wedding and when we knew it was X amount, we spent the money that we were saving for head counts somewhere else. The crazy thing is that one of the couples had a DW a few years ago, so they should know that it's not "free" for us (as so many others seem to think). Granted, it's not that expensive per person, but still. The best part is that we heard through the grapevine that 2 of the guests were coming, they didn't even bother to tell us. So I had to force my FI to email the girl today and ask her. Ummm...hello!

People don't realize that its a big deal to just add a few more at the end. My father in law and DH's uncle said they were coming but never booked tickets or hotel. Well, we just assumed they weren't coming (it was drama, but its in the past). They booked the day after we arrived in Jamaica to fly in the day of the wedding. They got nothing... we almost didn't have them come to the reception. I remember that and just realized I never asked you how that turned out? I really don't want to stress myself out running around trying to find more crap for their bags. But, because I am crazy (lol), I'm just so worried about it. You're right though, I should give them a smaller version or nothing.
  17. I'm bringing back this post from a few months ago. Apparently they are getting married this weekend: Reports: Eli Manning to Tie the Knot This Weekend - Weddings : People.com This year's Super Bowl hero Eli Manning and his fiancée, Abby McGrew, are reportedly planning a super private wedding this weekend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. "It will be small, just friends and family," a friend of the New York Giants quarterback is quoted as telling New York's Daily News. The paper says the couple are due to fly to Mexico Thursday, in anticipation of their Saturday event at the One&Only Palmilla resort – whose Web site says of the plush oasis: "The purity and beauty throughout the grounds of One&Only Palmilla allows for a variety of intimate celebration venues." Others who have wed there include Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd and British actress Alice Evans last September, and, in April 2006, Rascal Flatts lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney and Tiffany Fallon, Playboy's 2005 Playmate of the Year. On Saturday, says the News, the wedding party will include Manning's brothers, Super Bowl XLI champ Peyton and older sibling (and former Ole Miss receiver) Cooper, as well as their parents, Olivia and Archie, himself a former NFL hero. Eli Manning, now 27, and Nashville native McGrew, 24, have been engaged for just over a year, after he reportedly popped the question during a quiet night in their Hoboken, N.J., condo. The two had met while students at the University of Mississippi, and McGrew is currently an account executive for Pamela Roland, a designer of evening wear and wedding dresses. Earlier this month, the bride-to-be's father, Tom McGrew, confirmed the couple's upcoming wedding, telling the New York Post from his Tennessee home, "It's toward the end of April. It's private."
  18. I have had 6 people in the last week suddenly decide that they are coming to Jamaica. These are people that never sent their response cards back (which were due more than a month ago) and never gave an indication that they wanted to come. So I just assumed they weren't (which I guess I shouldn't have). Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that we have so many guests coming, it's just a PITA when we're leaving in 3 weeks and I already have my OOT bags made for a specific # of guests (83 guests, which translates into 52 bags). So what do I do?!? I can't possibly order more stuff this late. Should I give them a scaled down version of what everyone else is getting?!?
  19. Seriously?!? Why would she ever think that you would pay for his ticket
