When I was up on the heliport I was thinking of changing careers, it was so fun up there, I was more excited than the kids..lol!

  4. We had about 16 kids in our office today. I took them up to the heliport where the helicopters land when they're bringing trauma patients to our hospital. They were very excited about it.
  5. I am actually planning to get my first one this weekend. Saturday is my dad's 60th birthday. He passed away about a year and a half ago and I want to get something for him. We always said we would take him to Ireland on his 60th birthday, so I'm going to get something Irish, I'm thinking maybe a celtic knot. I'm nervous but really want to get it done for him.
  6. My FI has been telling me I should do this. I've been to the doctors a few times in the past few months b/c I've just been feeling like crap and there really is no reason. He's convinced (from watching some show) that this will make me feel better. I don't know anyone that's actually done it though. Maybe I'll take a serious look into it.
  7. Oh no Kelly, I'm glad it all worked out for you. I know Robin's husband was having a lot of problems, but I didn't know it was that bad. Let her know I'm thinking of her and her family.

We should go shopping or something together while we are there! AFTER the weddings of course, so we can be calm about it. We'll be at the Riu from the 10th til the 19th, then at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios til the 23rd. Maybe we'll be on the same flight home! Yeah, we should definitely plan to meet up. Maybe we can go to Margaritaville one day?
  9. I don't think so, a lot of girls here have done this. I'm having my reception at one of the restaurants at my resort. I have to pay to rent the space, but am not paying for the food.

Are you staying at Beaches the whole time?
  11. I think it's a great idea! Did either of them have a favorite flower?

  17. I can't get over how perfect everything looks! You, your dress, make-up, hair, the bm's and their parasols...I love all of it! And who is that adorable little girl? She is just so cute!
  18. So cute! That may be a present to myself when I get my rebate check!

  20. Glenda, I'm glad you had such a positive experience. I have to admit that going to Pre-Cana is something that I don't think I could ever convince Mike to do (one of the reasons why we wouldn't get married in the Church). Neither of us are very religious (even though we both went to Catholic school for 12 years!) and it would have felt very forced I guess to go through with Pre-Cana and a Church wedding. A lot of my friends are getting married in the next year or two, I'll let them know I heard it wasn't as bad as we've heard.
  21. I never heard of that! My MOH is my sister and my FI's bestman is his brother. That's so weird!

  23. I never really thought about this, but I guess I'll leave most of it there. I don't really want to lug home a bunch of votive holders, table number frames, etc. Hopefully the ROR will use them for a future BDW bride! Whatever I do bring home (i.e. my dress), I'll most likely try to sell.
