They were all inside jokes we had. The frame is a wide, flat frame made for crafts. I think it came from walmart. Thanks for the ideas...my girls are going to love these!
  3. Looks like fun! Can't wait to see the rest!!!
  4. I was surprised when we went to look for bridesmaids dresses that my girls picked out iridescent taffeta. It's a little weird b/c it is so shiny. A lot of the colors it comes in I think look weird, but white would be fine. I wanted light green dresses for the BMs, but ended up going with dark pink b/c of the material. Post a pic of the dress so we can see how it looks.
  5. Happy Birthday! Have a great day:)

Does the store have a website that I could order from?

Heidi - Chandlyn told me that the tables are square and fit 8 people?!? I'm confused now...
  8. Congrats Can't wait to hear how it went!

I want to bring it all down with me, so I don't have to worry about finding stuff once I'm there. That's what so hard about deciding what to do for centerpieces b/c you have to think about packing it.
  10. Congrats I am soooooooooo happy for you! (I can't believe all this happened while I was sleeping, I missed so much...no more sleeping for me lol)

What should I be doing/planning? Hiring a photographer or use the resort's? Hire a band or use resort's? Wait to choose flowers until we get there? What songs to choose? Walking down the isle/first dances/wedding party... I just want to know how it all works even though the whole idea of a DW for me is the minimal planning. We chose a DW thinking that we wouldn't have to do anything. But now that I'm on this forum, I'm finding out that you should definitely try to research before you go. For example, I found out the prices of the flowers at the resort and they are very expensive and not very nice. So, I emailed the WC and she said I can use an outside florist. I'm in the process now of finding another florist in Jamaica and getting a quote for what I want. It seems like I will save a lot of money! As for the photographer, I am stuck with the one at the resort b/c they don't allow outside photographers, which I'm not happy about and didn't know til this forum. My advice would be to get in touch with the WC at the resort and find out as much as you can about what they offer. Then talk to some brides that are getting married or have been married there and see what they did. Good luck!!!

I've done the hard part already, might as well finish it. What a great idea! I may steal this one from you:)

They would NEVER buy themselves Tiffany's, so I think it makes it special.

So I feel guilty already about price and am trying to cut corners where ever I can, but he has no worries. That's so nice that you're paying for your sister and her kids. I thought we could get lower than $465, but I've been stalking airline websites since April and they haven't seemed to drop at all, they've actually gone up. It's true that they may drop as the date gets closer, but I wouldn't want to wait too long to reserve seats. I'd say just keep checking for the next couple of weeks and get them when they're the lowest you've seen.
  18. My TA booked directly with Air Jamaica and secured 60 seats at $465 including taxes. I think you should try to work directly with the airline to get the seats. My TA said they are holding that rate for us because we guaranteed to fill the seats.

I didn't attend, and I didn't send a gift because I felt like I was just another invite for a gift! Otherwise, If I've spoken to the person ...recently, then of course! I read that thread the other day. That girl is ridiculous! I cannot believe the nerve of some people. Good for you not sending her anything!

I wasn't sure if I should register for a lot of things or not. I don't want anyone who IS coming to get me a gift because their coming is enough, but didn't know if those who weren't would still send something. BTW - Sorry I totally highjacked this thread!!!!!!!
